Purchased a VF Vaporflask Lite yesterday. Using a Kangertech Aero tank with coil of 1.2 resistance. Very impressed with Lite very easy to use with good instruction manual. Today I forgot to lock controls and unwittingly increased voltage to 60. Yikes I got a fright as it went pop. No damage done apart from changing the coil. The one i was using is ok apart from producing a burnt taste now, can you wash coils out? I have switched to a new coil and all is ok.

Hi Gary and welcome to the forum. Once you toast the cotton in the coil you will be unable to save it. The cotton is the wicking material that carries the juice to the coil.

Coils can be washed but they really never produce like they are when new. I used to soak my Nautilus coils in vodka for a few days to try and eat away the gunk and get more life out of them. Worked on most but they weren't like new. When the cotton in a coil has been scorched there is nothing you can do but replace the cotton.
