Classy, you should probably quickly review tom's posts about editing the list too... (it's a work in process...check once in a while for updates). I know you know HOW to edit, but there's a discussion about procedure ("EDITING" comment and such).

The day the list was put in there, I pm'd you a link to it Classy But you couldn' t get in here at that time.

Getting the back-up of the back-up of the back-up for the list together.

Still have to pretty-up the submitting form, convert some of the forum formatting code to HTML code and then pretty-up the layout (maybe put some filters in place).

For anyone interested -

Click on the Reply With Quote button on a List posting;
Select everything between the bracketed 'Quote' tags
.... i.e. [ QUOTE=tiburonfirst;6521624] SELECTED TEXT [ /QUOTE]
Copy selected text

Go to test1
Paste copied text into the text box
Click on Submit button
Click on the List link.


ETA:
Hmmm ... see that there is going to be some additional coding needed. The way I initially set the code up, it was case sensitive; gonna havta change that . Also different postings have some small coding differences which will have to be taken into account.

Well, like I said before, it'll take me a while to get it all set up.

BTW Atty - it's a back-up of a back-up .... Mainly doing this just to do this; not really expecting it to actually be used

Did you get permission from the forum admins to store (partial) username data offsite Tom? Just a thought. They may not care since it's probably all publically available, already indexed by search engines, etc. But I'd ask first....

Cleaned the code up some. Started to give the pages some formatting. Added a password to the form. Currently the password is "pvtsug" (no quotes).

did you just copy this or did you check the date? VulcanVap3r.... 08/02 trekie stuff - star trek he's a vulcan , I show Aug 2 for join date, so leap year corrected is Aug 1. (I have both Renrave and VulcanVap3R ready to be added, but thought I'd wait 'till a little later this morning, because I'm going to try to update the list only a couple of times a day )

when you add someone to the to be added list, just specify whether the date you include is the join date that you see on their profile, or if you've corrected it for leap year. Others will check also, but it's helpful to know which date you're posting. both join date and leap year corrected is even better

okkkk well since I've no idea "how" to correct for leap year and no one (up till this moment) has mentioned it to me, I am going by the date that is on their main page as join date, because......that is all I know.

If mind reading is going to be included in my job description, it's going to cost extra. just sayin

morri, the forum software does not recognize leap year - everybody gets adjusted by moving the join date back by one!

and we do need to keep questions out of the work threads - either post in chitchat or general business ......
