If you vape once an hour thats not a lot, at,least from my experience and many others. I vape pretty much all day when my eyes are open. I think the nicotine in ejuice isn't as efficient entering the blood stream as cigarettes are. If you hit a cigarette the nicotine enters the blood stream almost immediately and you can feel it. I think vaping is more of a gradual process so you have to vape more to maintain a nic level that your body finds satisfying. If you want to really stop cigarettes I think vaping more often and maybe with a higher percentage of nicotine might be beneficial.

Tu illustrate this theory. I smoked PAD regular strength cigarettes, and switched to 24mg juice, going through about 4ml per day. After a few months, I was trying to DYI something close to cigarette taste for my wife. To compare the taste, I bummed an analog from a friend. About 1/4 through the (disgusting) smoke, I had to stop due to the dizzy sensation of nic coma :)

4ml of 24mg juice is 3-4x more nicotine than a pack of regular tobacco, but, seemingly, less of it gets absorbed

Thanks again for all the advice! So I'm in the process of ordering more juice, some unflavored, some WTA, and all at higher nic concentrate. Had my mini with me all day today but still managed to smoke too many cigs. I'll probably just take it easy on myself and start legitimately trying again once I get my new juices in.

I'll also grab a few more LR atomizers as my work life is only getting busier and I dont honestly know when I will have the time and motivation to figure out my A-7 issues and learn how to properly build the wick/coil.

on an unrelated note I just turned on the tv and saw that there was some form of a bombing at the Boston marathon...sad stuff. The world is a strange place.

Thanks again guys hope you all are doing well, I greatly appreciate the support.

One thing that seemed to help some of us is to vape first if you want a cig. Take three or four draws. Then see if you still "need" that cig. With a higher juice I doubt you will!

With the higher juice chain vaping might be too much. You will have to pay attention to when your "craving" leaves and put down the REO!

Since I still use 32mg juice I have to watch it myself. Time where I really love the taste have resulted in vaping way too much. I know now to pay attention to if I start to feel nauseated. If I do I have to stop for awhile.

Higher nic knocks my craving out with just a few vapes.

Set a quit date. Maybe 10-14 days out. Get up that morning with the resolve to not light up first thing. Try relying on your ecig equipment instead. If you cave, no big deal, try it again the next day. It helps to not hang out with smokers. Hopefully you don't have an immediate family member who is smoking. That makes it much harder.

It worked for me. And whatever you do afterward, don't have that "just one". Big mistake. Been there, done that.

Good luck. You can do it! It was easier than I thought. Sunflower seeds and Jolly Rancher candies helped me a lot.

What worked for me was finding a flavor I liked, strawberry cheesecake in my case, and vaping it for the taste, rather than for cravings. Ended up vaping a lot more than I smoked, but had no cravings at all, and no desire to smoke.

Works differently with different people, of course. Reflect on your personality, and try one way or another.

Best of luck!

my two cents worth - the A7 is a terrible rba. I had nothing but trouble from it. I got an ERA atomizer ( you can buy them at indy vapor shop) and that all i use now. There is a learning curve to wrapping coils but i use 3mm silica wick and 5 wraps of Kanthal 30 guage wire and i also use unflavored 18 mg nic juice (50/50 pg vg blend) i occasionally will add some blueberry flavoring if i want something sweet. and occasionally a cigar flavor but the wizard labs juice does have a great throat hit by itself and it has a flavor , i just cant describe it. This has kept me off the stinkies and i dont want one at all. I tried high end genesis style atomizers like the AC9 etc. but for my lifestyle of travel and being outdoors alot , I also work as a Firefighter / Paramedic so i have to have something durable - ive dropped my VV reo Grand off of fire trucks many times and they are always fine but with a few battle scars. the reos are the only way to go . i load a up a bottle of juice and a few batteries and im good to go for days. Rob is also the absolute best guy in the business , he stands by his reos and will fix any problem so the reos are the end all be all for my vaping needs - i did have to experiment with the others but im a reonaut all the way now !Good Luck

Well said! And I agree with everything you said. I have tried to like the A7 and I just DON'T. The ERA is a good little rebuildable for sure. And....you can't say enough good things about a REO....any REO....but especially the VV Grand...for me. It's my all-time, forever-and-forever favorite vaping machine. Next to my kids, my grandkids, and my iPhone, it's the most important thing in my life....not necessarily in that order.....:)

As much as I love my A7s, I have to agree, with amendment. A7 is a terrible RBA, compared to ERA. ERA is mediocre compared to Chalice. But A7 is very affordable.

It's a trade-off. If you're not willing to pay 3 to 10 times more for ERA, than you would for A7, you better be willing to put up with its quirks, and fix its problems. Once those problems are fixed, A7 is still better than a carto, or your run of the mill atomizer.

As always thanks again, I just ordered the new Reomizer as well as 2 WTA juices and an unflavored juice all at 24 mg. Tomorrow morning I plan to build a few wicks and coils for my A-7 to get more comfortable and ready for the Reomizer. Wish me luck! My hope is that I can get competant(sp?) with the A-7 which apparently is not exactly ideal and then do very well with the Reomizer. It is sad that I actually enjoy learning curves haha! Going to cost me money in the long run. Thanks again guys, you all are great. Have a good night/day and happy vaping to all!

I'm still unclear as to wether or not I need to be "torching" anything prior to use...any tips? I did a couple dry burns on just the coil of my first build but as I stated earlier in the thread it failed the following day. As of now that is the only thing I am aware of that I am uncertain about.

I torch (only) the wire before I even wrap it. It seems to make it more "pliable"....I'm not sure if it's necessary for any other reason or not. :?: I use all cotton or bamboo wicks, so I certainly can't torch them. You can't even dry burn the cotton/bamboo wicks.

What gauge wire do you have? What wick material are you using? It's really not hard at all to make a decent coil. I'd skip the A7 and start with the Reomizer 2.0. It's really awesome. Watch Rob's video....he makes it look really easy. I do mine a little differently because I'm not using silica. I usually wrap my coil about 4-5 wraps around a little screwdriver (about the size of a round toothpick) then I pull my cotton through it.

Welcome Ty!
...you should try unflavored nic. It's the closest thing I have found to a cig taste. Flavors do nothing but add a perfumy taste to the nic base?

Great advise! I am considering a REO Mini 2.0 and just have a few questions about best practices from you guys. Can I use LR atty, drip top & drop shield and go? What is the shortest length atty you can use with REO mini? Length atty required for drip shield?

Thanks!

Well, you don't need a drip shield on a REO at all....unless you just like the looks of it. If you do use a drip shield, I believe you would need to use an XL sized atty or carto. You can definitely use an LR atty.....that's all I ever used with the 18490 batteries. A lot of people like the 1.7 ohm super shorty cartomizers if they want small form factor.
