I got my Reo Grand LP and Reomizer 4 LP in today.

It took me a bit to get the Reomizer 4 set up and working properly. The adjustable air intake is nice when you finally get it dialed in where you like it.

Does my coil/wick setup look OK (see below)?

It's 28g A1 wrapped ~8/9 times @ 2.2mm. I get 1.3Ω for the build.

It vapes like a champ now that I figured out I had too much wick in to begin with. Even what I have may be too much?

Anyway, a happy camper now that it's up and running! I have to get used to squonking...those dry hits are ROUGH...

Congrats, and welcome to the 'Ville :toast:

Love to see a pic or two of the reo itself, if you can (we're weird that way).

As for the coil and wick, it looks like you might have a tad too much wicking (both volume and tail length - prolly just the pre-bf sqonking reflexes kicking in) - less is definitely more for vapor and flavour. Coil looks about good, just make sure it's as close to the air hole as possible without touching the cap.

Congrats and welcome! Id love to see a pic of your reo!

I agree with what papa said... less is more when it comes to squonking. Trim them so they are just long enough to touch the deck and push them down like a horseshoe shape...Also, raise the coil a bit and you might be able to get a lot better flavor/vapor... Close to the edge of the deck and in line with the airhole. You can use the post holes as a rough guide for the vertical placement of that coil.

I built a new coil for my RM2 tonight and used less wick than my first coil. The dry hits are gone. I was over wicked. I have the RM4 due to be delivered tomorrow; thank God I got the order in cause reomod site is down until the 2nd of October! I have a lot of notes written down on building for this atty but three that stand out are...

1. coils go as close to cap edge as possible.
2. Keep them up high near the air holes on the cap. (may need one less wrap to account for the long leg)
3. Tilt coil up to air hole while the low side sucks juice.

Good luck!
