So Calif
Found one on the classies with some extra stuff, arrived on Monday.

Had a devil of a time getting the feed tube in the top of the bottle, wound up having to use a dental pick and pull with it then trim the tube, probably not the best solution. Maybe I can have another go at it when the bottle is empty. What is the best way to get a new feed tube into the bottle top?

I'm finding that it doesn't always fire when the button goes down, don't know if that's operator error. Battery in it is a 18650, nipple top and fresh.

I expect a learning curve, about the only time it's left my hand is when I get frustrated or want a different flavor and pick up something else. Got this for use when driving and because I'm too lazy to drip much but like the flavor of dripping.

First feelings about this are good ;) If I get a little more comfy with it I can see another one in view, or maybe a vv one when they are available.

Welcome new Reonaut!

You must have got an extra tube with the REO. Usually the tube is already on. Yes, the tube going through the cap can be a pain. But you should not need to do that again. Tubing only needs changed if there is a problem with a lingering flavor or it splits. Neither happen often. The cap stays on the tube and you just unscrew the bottle to fill.

When pushing the firing button make sure you are not turning it to the off position. I must be turned all the way to the left. I have many times turned it just enough while pushing to turn it off.

You don't need to push the button very hard. Hold the REO up by your ear and push lightly and listen. You can hear it fire and know a slight push will work.

The AW IMR 18650 1600mAh batteries work the best. They fit without compressing the spring. Longer batteries compress it too much and it will not collapse in case of a short. It is a protection that Robert gave all REO's.

Don't screw your atty's or cartos on tight. Just till they stop turning. If they are put on too tight they can break the gasket in the connector.

Glad you stepped up to the REO!

just did a little tune up on 1 of my minis that wasn't fine @ 100% pulled the bottle, battery, and carto/atty then held under really hot running water for 5min brushed out the inside with toothbrush, took an emory board and while pushing down on firing pin lightly file the tip of the firing where it comes in contact with the battery, blew everything out with compressed air ( hair dryer works also) reapply noalox and vape it like you stole it:D

Looks clean as a whistle inside, perhaps a small whitish deposit up by the black top on the solid back wall near the hole for the firing pin. Where does noalox go? I always have some for my threaded tube mods, don't see any evidence of any in the Reo I have in hand.

I did read the user manual on reosmods.com and see no mention of where to apply it there either.

You apply it to the fireing pin... But I would still give it a good cleaning and fileing ( oxidation isnt so noticeable to the eye )

Good luck!!!! :)

Fingernail file work? I have a few of those metal ones with the grit surfaces. They don't make dust. Other than that no files about

And where on the metal of the firing apparatus? On the tiny folded down bit? Between the two pieces of metal?

Thanks for the reply ;)

nail file is perfect. You just want to lightly make a pass or two on the sides and tip of the V part of the pin. Just a little goes along way, you just want to remove any oxidation not so much the meatal. If you push the button down with the battery removed its easier to access.

Good luck!!!
