ok, I just got everything together and took my first few pulls. It works!

I first soaked my new Cisco 1.8s in juice to prime it, then screwed it on with the cherry vape tip. The first few pulls were meh, a bit on the harsh side, and not so much vapor. But I figured that it was a new atty that needed to break in.

I've just taken a few more pulls and I'm getting more vapor. Good!

Now, the unit bubbles a little bit. If I remember, perhaps this means the atty is a bit flooded? I first pressed the tube a bit and some juice appeared in the cup. Is it possible to flood the atty this way? How often do you need to press the bottle?

I also notice a bit of condensation in the drip tip. I've never had a clear drip tip, so perhaps it's common and not a sign of flooding. The slight bubbling sound is a bit worrying as I remember a good working atty to just hum, back when I dripped.

Does it matter how far up the bottle cap sits? I've pushed it up to the top. Not exactly easy to screw in with a full bottle of juice, but I tried to get it tight.

Well, that's all for now. I'll wait to see if/when I get a response to see if I can do anything to make this work better.

If you mean bubbles at the base of the atty, that means your atty is flooded. No big deal. Vape thru it or gently blow out the excess juice.

Condensation in your drip tip is normal.

I pull my cap down so that the bottle rests at the bottom of the mod and the tube stays straight with no kinks.

Responses in blue.

Search for "blind squonk" in the tips & tricks stickied thread. Or you can try gently squeezing the bottle till you see just a smidgen of juice appear at the base of the atty, then stop squeezing the bottle. Then you should have an adequately juiced atomizer with no juice sloshing around in the reservoir. The Reo vapes best without juice in the reservoir, in my opinion.

Also, how often you have to squeeze the bottle (squonking) depends on how you vape. You'll just have to practice a bit to get the hang of it. I'd say an average of 5 good draws before you need to squeeze more juice to the atomizer. Try to avoid squeezing the juice up to a hot coil. I've found this diminishes the life of the atty. Let it cool down for a couple of minutes or more after your last draw before squonking.

The bubbling I was talking about is a sound. It sounds like I'm hitting a hookah. I used to remember the atty just humming, and bubbling meant that it was flooded. Maybe it's just the atomizer.

Is priming a new atty necessary with the Reo? I primed this one by sticking a condom on the end and then filling the whole thing with juice, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then blow out and go. Maybe I should have dripped a few drops before screwing on and giving a press on the bottle.

In any case, it may be the atty. I wish Ikenvape would get it together asap as they are my first choice for atty's, and it looks like they recently developed a new line of 510s and 310s which I am interested in trying.

So far, my experience has been ok. I don't remember exactly, but I think I used to get more vapor and flavor from just direct dripping on an atty with a battery. I've found myself coughing here and there because the throat hit is so strong for some reason. Maybe I need to tone down the BBW juice to 18mg or else let the juice steep for a while. I never once coughed from vaping before. Maybe it's leftover from the analog smoking, who knows.

View attachment 63888View attachment 63889Thanks for all the replies. I'll follow the instructions. I got the hybrid bottom feeding atomizers from clouds of vapor...I used to use the ikenvape ones which were great, but their website seemed to be down, so I thought getting a bottom feeder atty would be better. Did I get the wrong ones?

Here are pics of what it looks like
If the Vapage atty has a white gasket just about the threads they are okay to use. All their attys come with a gasket now. I had some of the ones before the gasket and never had a problem with them on my REOs. I just didn't screw them on super tight. I think some had the center post too far down, but not all of them.

You are definitely flooding the atty. Do the same thing to prep an atty for the REO as you do for dripping. Think of squonking just like dripping, you are only adding a few drops after 5-8 vapes. It needs to be done gently.

You don't need to drip from the top at all. By squonking, you're dripping from the bottom. Try taking a light unpowered drag while gently squeezing the bottle, you'll feel a touch of resistance on the hit and hear a slight gurgle when it's perfect. Give it a sec to settle into the wick and vape away. Once you get the blind squonk down, you'll never flood again.

I would blow it out, wipe up anything in the catchcup and vape. When after vaping a few times when it gets too hot or tastes strange, squeeze the bottle and when you start to see a little juice coming out the holes in the catchcup stop squeezing, take a draw without hitting the fire button, then vape away...repeat
