There are two types of riva that are supplied now. One is the 510 compatible thread and the other one is a 901. They say the ego cartomizers with the 510 thread are great if you don't want to refill constantly. It holds 1.8ml of juice and that will last you almost a day but of course it depends on how you vape.

The carts supplied are the same as a 510 cart and holds about 10 drops of juice without the poly fill. I used a mod using a straw and the silicon cap posted on youtube and it works great for me. you won't need to buy more carts using this mod. One or two will do depending on the quantity of flavors you have. I using 2 right now for my cola and usa mix flavors.

I use the 901 flat tips from Johnson Creek on my Riva and it works great. The flat tips hold around 11-12 drops with blue foam and I top off often. Toping off keeps the flavor up there. The round tips that came with the Riva hold around 15-16 drops, however, I do not like the round tips. Re-filling your own carts is the least expensive option, but it takes a little maintenance. As for the the juice, order the better quality juices, USA made, and your atty's will work better - longer I am cleaning mine once a week and have had no issues. Look at the e-juice fourms and read the revews of the flavors since all taste buds vary.

I have Riva Ego as my first e-cig on the way im trying to find the and most reliable/consistant cartridges and or e juice i guess its called. Ive heard you can buy the same cartridges but they may vary and would like more info on this.

I just want to confirm that you're talking about cartridges (carts) and not cartomizers (cartos). The cartridges are just the little plastic tips that come standard filled with a little bit of polyfill while a cartomizer is a combination of the cartridge and an atomizer.

I haven't really had an issue with the reliability of the carts. They seem to just come with every atomizer you get, and I think most of us end up with stacks of the little buggers turning up everywhere. Some people modify theirs; I just use mine as is. I have not really had any problem with it. There is a little bit of a learning curve until you recognize the taste indicating that you need to add more fluid. They initially hold a decent amount of fluid but that does diminish a little bit over time.

The ejuice/fluid is a really subjective thing. There are many reputable suppliers on here and it will take a bit of experimentation to find the juice that is just right for you. At least initially, I think I would avoid something that's all VG, but other than that the juice is going to be dependent on what works for your taste buds.
