Hey Dudes and Dudettes,

I thought I wound introduce myself and ask some questions. I am a regular on the GG forums, GGs being my PV of choice, but I have had a ton of people insist that I try a REO as it will convert me. Being a skeptic, and having an open mind have prodded me to check out the REO line.

It looks like I will be trading my Diamante for a REO grand with the magnets missing from the door. I am told I can order more magnets from here: Gaussboys Super Magnets :: Discs :: 4mm x 1mm N48 Gold Plated Disc Magnet, so I guess I'll have to.

I really wanted a Woodvil, but it looks like I will have to settle (unless one of you guys has one sitting around :p)

My questions are basically, can a Woodvil be purchased without the "plunger" thing, just with an open window for the juice?

When/ how often are new ones made, and when is the next line of Woodvils expected?

Then, the same question about the REO grands and especially the doors. I want a nice new door, purple Green or Gold perhaps, but it looks like they are out of stock too!

Thanks for any help guys, hopefully I'll fall in love with REOs too and be a regular round these parts!

Hi Seaweedshark :) Welcome!
You can also get the magnets from Rob...he has extras :)

The Woodvils come standard with the window these days. The plunger is now optional. Grands will again be in stock later this week or next. Keep an eye on this thread for updates. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...tes-sales-information-most-recent-info-5.html

The wood mods are done in large batches....right now he is working on 250 of the 18490 mods and that should be ready soon. Following that he will be doing his first batch of VV Woodvils. So my guess at this point is that the next full Woodvil batch will occur in a couple months. While the metal mods will continue to be stocked on a more regular basis, the wood mods take a lot more time to produce.

Doors are the most easily damaged in production...so having extra doors depends on how many make it though manufacturing in good condition. I'm sure he'll post an update soon regarding doors.

I hope this is helpful :)

Hi seeweedshark. I see you lots in the canada forums too and I hope if you do score yourself one you will find the reo a great pv. I have both a grand and mini - I prefer metal over wood actually. I found once I had reo's I lost interest in all the other pv's out there. Not because they aren't great or anything, its just because reo's suits my vaping style perfectly. They are so hassle free and durable its easy to see why they have such an outstanding reputation.

Lisa has pretty much given you the best info on your questions so I won't add anything except welcome to the reo forum :)

Thanks everybody. I have been creeping around and it seems like this is another very friendly and helpful subforum. Lisa, you seem to be a wealth of information :D

I have actually arranged trades for both a REO mini and a Grand! So I should get them within 9 days or so! I am very excited to try it all out. Hopefully I can find some magnets locally. I figure I'll have ample time to try the aluminum models out to see if I'd like to invest in a wood one.

Expect lots of questions from me in the next little while ;)

When you get your magnets, put them on the magnets installed in the body of your Reo. Use a sharpie to mark the end of the magnet not stuck to the other magnet. The marked side of your magnet goes face down into the door.

Not talking down to ya, but a few others have installed magnets in their doors backwards and had lots of grief getting them back out so they could flip them around.

Do you have a lee valley store out your way? I know they carry some specialized bits and pieces......and magnets too. Well, that's where the fabrication shop I work at buys earth magnets from when we need them.

We have to order Lee Valley Stuff through a catalog, I might just have to bite the bullet and order them from the site, though its almost $7.00 shipping for $0.30 worth of magnets

Haha yeah, I could see that being a hilarious, albeit unfortunately situation to find yourself in. I would have controlled for it, but your method is pretty practical. Knowing me though, I'll be the guy with the REO door that jumps out at people!

I would love this option, as the site everyone referred me to is going to charge me $10.00 shipping for less than $1.00 worth of magnets. What is Rob's ECF account name, or can I order them through the REO site as an actual purchase?

I forget what the Canadian counterpart to Radio Shack is called, but there are a few select sizes of rare earth magnets at Radio Shack, you should check them out. I don't know what all sizes they have, but I was able to get a few for battery spacing... so maybe you have some place local that you can just pick them up from!

Oops, that quote was from the magnet site. I don't have an up-to-date catalog for Lee Valley right now, but I contacted Rob and he is setting me up. You guys are awesome!
