I just placed an order today to start vaping again. I'm really sick of smoking 1.5 -2 packs of cigarettes a day. Hopefully the setup I purchased will do the trick this time. I've tried all sorts of electronic cigarette devices that helped the quitting process the first bunch of times I've tried to quit, but they all seemed to get less satisfying over time and eventually the ones I purchased stop working very well. So I stepped up my vaping supplies and finally ordered a Mod. Hopefully this setup will do the trick without giving me much problems. My addiction to cigarettes is problem enough. The cost of my new setup was pretty steep but the mod looks promising. All I can say is for around $300 bucks this thing better at least last a whole year! Here's what I purchased today:

Silver Bullet Mod + The Kick by Evolv + Kick Sleeve for 18650 battery + 3 additional AW IMR18650 2000 mAh batteries + Silver Bullet Charger XTAR WP2 + Dual Battery Case + DT95 Digital pocket multimeter + LR510 Atomizer (no bridge) + 510 Green Atomizer + Metal Dual Coil tank 6ml. I also purchase a sample 6 pack of Pink Spot Vapor juices to try out!

I'm not sure what to expect out of this setup but I hope it does the trick for all the money it costed. I'm pretty much a newbie to using a setup this advanced so any suggestions or advice for me will be greatly appreciated.

I haven't tried the silver bullet, but, I think an $80 VAMO or something like a Zmax is a great start. Zmax setups are a little higher. The Zmax is what I started with.... single button and the menu was easy to navigate. If you are gonna spend $300 on a setup, for me, it was/would be a Provari (go ahead, call me a fanboy if ya want).

I have ordered from the pinkspot before and I think they a some good juice, but it just doesn't compare to VaporCast's, The Vapor Chef's, and Good Life Vapor's Flavors! They are always ready to vape, and all the flavors I have tried from the above mentioned companies are Fricken AWESOME, and full of flavor!!!

Welcome to the forum, tons of great people around here!

What nic level is the juice you've ordered? If you've tried e-cigs in the past and they haven't done the trick you may need to jump up your nic level a tad. I started at 36 and worked my way down to 6 eventually.

As for your setup...that's a pretty good start. If I knew then what I know now I would've started with something similar. I think you'll really like the cartotank...those are still my primary go to devices. Good batteries and good charger...never skimp on those.

Don't feel like you have to stop smoking completely at first. It's perfectly okay to vape and continue to smoke cigarettes at the same time. Just vape like would if you were still smoking and if you feel the need to have a cigarette...go have a cigarette.

Vaping will dry you out so drink plenty of water. You may get a sore throat at some point for a week or two...this is normal.

I own a Silver Bullet, it was my first mod also. Mine is not Kicked. The SB is a rock solid mod and will last you years. No regrets on mine being my first mod. I find it a little heavy and bulky now compared to my other mods, but I still do occassionally use it at home with a rebuildable atomizer tank (first pic below). I started out using cartotanks on it like you.

If I may, I'll point you in the direction of my cartotank tutorial from my blog. You may find some useful information on cartotank setup there: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Here's some pics of my Silver Bullet:

Thanks for the responses everyone. The only reason I picked the Silver Bullet with the Kick setup is because I was tired at looking at all the reviews and trying to compare them all. It's seriously confusing! There's just so many options. I just watched around 50 videos earlier today and came across GrimmGreen's channel and saw his review on the bullet. Then I saw the review on the kick. I was done at that point and made an order. It was quite expensive for everything I purchased. But I'm desperate to quit smoking.

But for this to work I will most likely need a setup to get huge vapor clouds. I know if I find this setup I will be able to finally quit. Hopefully the silver bullet makes the cut. I was able to stop for a month before, then 3 weeks, then a month and a half...etc. A bunch of short periods of time in the last 3 years. All using electronic cigarette devices. My problem was when the one I had on me at the time ran out or straight out broke, I just stopped at a gas station and picked up a pack of cigarettes. Then I woke up the next day and bought another pack forgetting about my pitiful attempt to quit.....forever!!! lol. It's ridiculous! I should add that I could have just purchased a disposable e-cigarette but those things are such a rip-off. I bought a Luxury Lites E-hookah earlier for almost $11 bucks. It tasted great but lasted less than 2 hours and broke. I was ...... and you guessed it, I bought another pack of Marlboro 72 Reds. :(

I just hope this time I'll be able to finally kick this habit to the curb! :)

Thanks for all of the advice! Those cartotanks look awesome Badittude! I'll definitely check out some of those juice companies mentioned Denzilla. If all goes well and I'm able to quit for 6 months I'll most likely buy more vaping stuff such as the Provari or even the iTaste SVD.

Also thanks Crash Moses. I use to think I was getting throat cancer from vaping for weeks at a time. Then again I was also experiencing serious withdrawal symptoms from not smoking cigs too. The whole quitting process is horrible!!! Stuff like electronic cigarettes just makes it a bit easier. I just need to transition myself over is how I'm looking at it now. Maybe then one day I can quit vaping too. For now vaping can be good enough for me.

A good Mod makes all the difference and it helps to have a backup. My friends and I have all quit smoking together so if you can get at least one of your smoking friends to join you it will be easier. I've got an eVic but all my friends have moved up to Provaris. I'm hooked on cartotanks and I just ordered an AGA T2 to try.

Keep at it. You can do it.

Decent startup. Main things that will help is get at least18 mg nic juices and remember you will need to vape more than you smoked, especially at first when trying to get over the cig habit. Vape alot! Also, finding some flavors that you really like will make the trip alot easier. Not having a flavor that you like alot can be a deal breaker so keep trying flavors until you figure out which ones you like. Good luck!

Good luck!! I tried a simple setup a few years ago, and I kept relapsing on the rolling tobacco! I was a heavy smoker too... then in January I got a mini nova tank and a simple manual 1100mah battery and some 18mg juice.... and that was it! I now only vape and am much happier, no cigs since january! I also envy your setup - it looks pretty serious to me.... my suggestion is that it is all about a decision... when your kit arrives... MAKE A DECISION.... to completley swap for at least a month, don't go back to cigs in that time and give it your best go... thats just my opinion.. obviously!

I've been off of the tobacco for about a month now. Not planning to look back- Started with a set of eGo-T's and a couple of Clearomizers. I now have a new VAMO with a kanger Pro-tank.

One bit of advice I can offer is try different juices and stock up on your favorite; if you keep it enjoyable you shouldn't need to go back to the "pack" once you make the switch. Good Luck!
