Hello guys,
I want to get some new setup. I was using iJust2 for some time and now I'm using some old Vaporesso mod with VapePen tank. It works ok but I want something new. I'm thinking about Wismec Reuleaux RX2 battery and maybe Smok TFV12 Baby Prince tank. My friend's got Smok Stick with this tank and it works cool. I don't quite understand the idea of having a mod with possibility of 200W output and having a tank which coils can take like 70W max. So if you could explain me if it's worth making that kind of setup more than just geting Stick I would be greatful. And if it's worth what do you think about this mod with this tank. Maybe I should get some other tank? And last question when I could use 200W, what would I need?
If something sounds stupid sorry, still kinda new to all this.

It depends upon how you want to vape. Do you want to use a sub-ohm tank with low resistance coils in order to make a large amount of vapor? That's fine if that is your goal, but realize that making a lot more vapor will mean you will be consuming larger quantities of e-liquid and drain your batteries faster, too.

There are basically two types of tanks. Low wattage/higher resistance coil tanks will have a more restrictive air draw (mouth-to-lung) and only so much vapor. Examples would be the Innokin Zenith and Zlide tanks, or the Aspire Nautilus tanks.

High wattage/lower resistance coil tanks will have more of an airier draw (direct-too-lung) and make larger quantities of vapor. Most of the popular tanks out on the market today are this type of tank. The "beast" tanks from SMOK, and the Geekvape Cerberus tanks are examples.

So why do you want something different from what you have already? Thinking of changing your vape profile, or just want something different to try?

So ask yourself why are you looking at a different setup? Are you unsatisfied with it? Just want to try something different for change's sake?

200 watt mods are in part a marketing strategy. Like an automobile that is advertised to go 180 miles an hour, how often will you be driving your car that fast? I seriously doubt that you will be vaping any where close to even 120 watts. Now, a 200 watt mod will require using 2 - 3 batteries at the same time, so if you vape at a lower wattage (ie 30 watts) those 2 - 3 batteries will end up lasting longer per charge than if you were using a single battery device.

And last question when I could use 200W, what would I need?
Multple sets of "married" batteries. A married set will be the same make/brand model of battery, purchased together so they are roughly the same age. The rationale is the batteries will age together as they are used.

Choose the batteries you use by the wattage setting that you will be using and the amp rating of the batteries:

WATTAGE PER SINGLE BATTERY on REGULATED MOD:
(Total wattage doubles using 2 batteries; Triples using 3 batteries.)

And if you don't already have a 4 bay Li-ion battery charger, you'll need one.

I think I just want something different. Like I said this Vaporesso mod was forgotten for 2 years and just feels old. I'm looking for nice clouds and I can't say it doesn't give me that, it just doesn't feels right. I guess new setup will be working similar but I will have this "i bought something new and good" feeling. So I guess I'm looking for same thing in new edition. I vape 60W most of the time. Bought mesh coil recently and pretty satisfied with it.

while you may not use the 200w....it does mean more battery life....for instance I have at about 20w so a 200w mod will last me half a day to a day.....and while you may not use temp control, it's still a nice option and they tend to do firmware upgrades which is nice too.
I would suggest the aegis legend kit, dual battery 200w mod and comes with the aero tank and it uses mesh coils

If you're a 60W vaper I'd personally suggest getting a 200W mod, Much better battery life. You'll get some great suggestions off the lovely folks in the Forum:)

To be honest it doesn't have to be a box mod. Stick would be fine as well. I just got used to using something bulky. I want have fun with it and by fun I mean making massive clouds. Making own coils isn't an option for now. Any things I should be looking for? As for Stick I found this Smok v9 with TFV8 Baby V2 tank. It has 3000mAh battery and 60W output. What do you think?
Thank you for all replies

hehehe I use 3000mah at 20w and I'll eat through them in a few hours :p now a dual mod will last longer but single battery at 60w isn't going to really last that long single batteries really can only handle 75w so you are taxing the battery more at 60w draining it faster

The iJust 3 has a 3000mah battery, 80 watt I think. and an Ello Duro tank. Huge clouds and good flavor. I’ve been using it for two months, good setup. If it’s the same as the iJust 2, you might be tired of it, though. Welcome! :)

Think of the wattage output like the odometer on your car. Mine says 120 mph but I'm never going to get there.

If you like the mod, there's no reason not to get it. The worst thing that will happen is you will get better battery life, (or gas mileage, whatever,) You really actually don't want to redline your equipment it' s bad for it, and you would chew through batteries.

if your only concern is the odometer, I say go for what you like.

OK, I guess I will be the first here to say it. Friends don't let their friends vape SMOK.

In all fairness, I hear some of their tanks aren't so bad. I mean, they don't blow up and you can get decent coils to replace the smok coils.... I know this kind of begs the question of why not get something else entirely, but some folks seem to like their setup or whatever.

I wouldn't know the day Smok makes a MTL tank I will think something has frozen over somewhere.

    Welcome to you!

Al long long while back I was taught, for durability, longevity and safety, always leave 40% of your power in reserve. If I was buying a 200 Watt mod my idea would be that my maximum vaping wattage would be set at 120 Watts. I have two DNA squonkers with the 75 Watt (not color) board in them and I vape max 15 Watts - a lot of reserve under my rule. The DNA 75's have lasted me a long time, my batteries have lasted me a long time. I have no idea if my not pushing either to the max has contributed to longevity but I have stuck with that teaching in most every thing I use, except chain saws.

Watch, my next post may be that both squonkers quit five minutes after I wrote this post.
