So, I purchased a new Winder 1300mah. Seeing as how the charger and battery both have circuitry that stops charging when a "full" charge is reached, is it really beneficial to charge a new battery for eight hours even after charger states it's charged? I did a quick search of the forums before posting and didn't really find anything helpful. A google search only uncovered directions stating to charge for eight hours first time and always charge for three hours minimum, even if charger says it's full. Is there really a "trickle" charge function? Is this another lithium ion batteries should be cycled debate? Thanks all.

battery university is the source you want....

Once the charger light goes green, you're good. To increase the whole life of lithium batts, charge often, even before they're fully depleted. There is no 'memory' in lithium ion batts. The '8 hours' thing is a hold over from NiCad batts which DO have a memory.

Thanks. That basically reinforced everything I "thought" I knew about lithium batteries, but being a mere mortal and not an electrical engineer, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. =P
