I just got 8 stardusts. Some hit well, others have wicking issues, some have barely any of the ridged metal on the bottom above the bottom cap, others have twice as much. Did I get two different versions or are they just inconsistent. They are all V1 short wickers. I had heard that the Version 1 was easy to take apart, and that later Version 1 (v1.1 we'll call it) is harder. Could it be the difference between the amount of ridged metal holding the tank together at the bottom? Do I have all V1s that are inconsistent? Or do I have a mix of V1s and V1.1s?

It's a CE2 device. Inconsistent manufacturing and quality control have always been issues.

Actually they have been marketed as a CE4 but same difference. I've seen widely varying numbers on resistances claimed versus resistances given. As far a .5 ohm difference as a matter of fact lol. That's a huge difference.

of the 8 stardusts I have, 4 of them have the smaller ridges, but i've only opened and used three of them so far and they all have the cone at the silicone plug. Also, through dry burning them and looking at the coil ( i did so with the silicone plug still seated ) I can see that the coils on these things are quite substantial (which would account for their relatively high resistance even though they claim to be "low resistance") but of the three that I have done this with one of them can only be seen as a single glowing red dot when dry burning instead of the standard beefy coils that the other two stardusts have. This one also seems to vape the best, strangely enough. Man is the quality/manufacturing process of these things highly variable! I got mine from Altsmoke by the way.
