hi there

Been out of the forums for several months and started to run out of supplies so I came back here running for information as usual.

I moved from TX to a country in South America and ecigs are banned here, so it's a struggle trying not to go back to analogs.

I just made my first purchase of vaping stuff since I got here and I have a Griffin, phoenix on the way from Discountvapers.com and also bought smoething from the classies last night which had me looking around for info that only got me more confused. WHat I bought is a DID clone, a Rainbow and another Phoenix, but here's what dazzles me .. 3 RCT tanks ..... I can see at Madvape's site what they are, but almost nothing on Youtube ... do they go by another name by any chance ? I see Vivi tnaks, Vivi novas, Hyper SRT and so on ... so if someone can shed some light on this for me I'd appreciate it :)

take care y'all

Thaks for that one bk78, there's plenty of info on the DID and Phoenix, but the RCT is what concerns me right now.
I gotta keep looking :D

It looks to be a version 2 of the Smoktech Titan, or Screw Tank at other vendors. The Titan was Smoktech's answer to the Vivi Nova. This REV tank looks just like the Titan or Screw Tank, maybe with some minor new changes; like the ability to change out the atty heads. reviews are so so, suffers from wicking issues to mute flavors. I have a couple of the Titan's. Easy to fill and clean, but many flavors are muted. I tend not to recommend them, but if you have mostly PG juices, you may like it.

thanks, but I still not sure if the heads are replaceable or it's actually rebuildable ..

So not to add to the confusion, what is your definition of "rebuildable"?

To me, rebuildable refers to Genesis class atomizers, which you are required to use metal mesh wick and string your own wire coils. Pretty sure the RTC is not one of those judging just from its appearance in pics.

The heads are replaceable, but NOT rebuildable.

I have the RCT and a vivi nova. The nova heads are rebuildable because the coil will come out when you remove the bottom plug. The RCT's head has soldered wires inside where the white plastic cup is that holds the wick and coil. You cannot remove the bottom plug without destroying the rest of the internals...ask me how I know...

If you are looking for a rebuildable, don't go for the RCT.

3.0 Ohm Replaceable Coil for the Rebuildable Top Coil Tank

Ok, I stand corrected. This must be what you were asking about. This is Smoktech's attempt to cash in on the hottest craze of the RBA (rebuildable atomizer). Extremely mixed reviews on the Mad Vape's website for this item. If you do a search on the Mad Vape website for "rebuildable top coil tank" you'll get options to view a red, blue, and yellow version of these for $18, each color version with their own customer reviews.

There are a few YouTube reviews under Smoktech Vivi Rebuildable Top Coil Tank.

Don't waste your money unless you are a tinkerer. These have a lot of room for improvement.

Thanks y'all.

My take on 'rebuildable" is the same as yours, you make you own coil with wire and mesh/silica rope.
I saw very few videos on youtube about that but missed pbusardo's one, so I'm gonna watch it right now.

I bought a lot from a member on the classies and he's sending 3 RCT's among other stuff. I really need to get into RBA stuff in order to keep vaping. Where I live now ecigs are banned, so supplies are scarce to say the least.

thanks again for your comments.
