cosican: jason is at electronicstix :p i'm the other guy :p

nick o'teen: as far as shipping to the uk, i am still working on the logistics of that, frankly i would like to ship everywhere but have much more experience importing than exporting. next time i am in terlingua i am planning a trip to visit some friends in mexico, am going to talk to them about finding me a place to rent. unfortunately the omfg deal has been rented by someone already (2500 acres, 2 houses, 70USD a month). if a ban goes through, i may consider relocating for a bit to get the company up and running in a new area with less shipping hassle. then have my friends take over the shipping portion. as a sidenote, i have never had an issue getting a lab in mexico to custom mix just about anything.

Limoncello: sorry about that, but i had to add the disclaimer to pacify people, and quite frankly in the end it was a good idea and nobody had an issue with it. did not affect sales obviously ;)

as far as stock goes, i have already contacted the lab and asked them if they could do up a batch of 100 or so, or even do it in much larger bottles that i can have a local lab repackage for me. they are up for it, but we are both waiting to see what happens with the may 5th stuff.

i had someone at the club JOKINGLY ask me if i could mix it up in cappuccino flavor and add it to one of the fog machines.. he figures he can fog his house and quit drinking coffee and smoking in the morning.

Oh, no problem. I just got so excited I sent everything but the actual order through -Duh

i dont think i ever properly addressed this, now that i have some downtime i feel like i should.

the reason i never offered up the 72 is... i ended up hiring a plexiglass fabricator to build me a negative pressure box when i got the 72mg in. even with that, the plastic gloves, and dual chambers, i still only felt ok mixing it while wearing a respirator and full suit. the stuff is dangerous as all hell.. i kept it stored in a locked safe that required a key and a combo to open it.

the real issue i have with carrying 72 for sale deals directly with toxicity, and not with informed consent. I would not feel ok shipping it via ups, usps, fedex as the customer knows the risk but your delivery person doesn't and never signed on to handle it. shipping via courier is expensive in most cases and far outweighs the benefit of an extremely strong mixing base. i believe people should take responsibility for their actions, especially when it comes to something like this which is why i give warnings. but if i tried to ship 72mg juice via normal means, while the postyal inspector may be informed of the risk, i can not be certain that everyone handling the box until it reaches the purchaser has been informed.

of course precautions can be taken like double walled bottles inside of a sealed membrane. but i have received shipments that quite frankly looked like the delivery company had decided to stress test the packaging by running over it after having left it in the rain for two days. so i set out to make something a bit safer that would still allow diy mixes of 36mg strength. the end result was a compromise. i originally wanted to do 40mg, but the people that intro'd me to vaping want heavy flavors, so 48 was the next best thing.

the next thing was to decide on a product size, i originally had planned on 100ml bottles, but decided that the risk was too high when it comes to shipping. next was 10ml since if one bottle gets messed up in shipping, it's not that big of a deal... after talking it over with the people that asked me to have it made, we all agreed that 15ml was a good standard size. 2 15ml bottle are only slightly more risky than 3 10ml ones, and nowhere near the hazard a 100ml bottle would pose.

if/when i reorder, i will be on the lookout for sponge material to line the boxes with to further reduce the risk if their is a spill. i believe i lined cosicans with a layer of absorbent sponge and added a few peanuts to keep everything secure. later shipments (except for the order for 10) were done using newspaper, the 10 order was done using newspaper and bubblewrap if i am not mistaken. i almost used shop towels for it as i wanted to make sure that the liner would absorb as much as possible before it reaches the cardboard of the box.

so there is my reasoning behind never offering 72mg for sale, and working up the 48mg product.

Fedex are happy to ship a wide range of dangerous chemicals, provided they are suitably packaged and properly labelled. I've had highly toxic and mutagenic agents delivered by them when I had my horticultural business (there's some really unpleasant stuff gets used in tissue culture,) and there were never any problems. Their staff are fully trained to handle properly labelled products professionally and responsibly, as (I assume) are UPS and other reputable companies.

Fedex terms & conditions regarding international delivery of dangerous goods: FedEx - Confidential conditions of carriage

IATA schedule 6 (poison) hazchem label may be required: class 6 toxic & infectious substances

A standard polyethylene reagent bottle (not just any old PE bottle - it should be "reagent" grade, seamless unbreakable,) and bubble wrap or polystyrene chips is all the protection simple poisons require. They will take care not play football with it, or drive a truck over it, or treat it carelessly. They're professionals, and if they weren't able to ship it safely, they certainly wouldn't accept it.

Take it from me, a 72mg/ml solution of nicotine salts is considerably less hazardous than plenty of stuff they routinely deliver. That's only twice the concentration of the juice plenty of us chainvape all day, and a lot less toxic than many common garden chemicals that people send and receive by mail order every day without giving a second thought to.

of course precautions can be taken like double walled bottles inside of a sealed membrane. but i have received shipments that quite frankly looked like the delivery company had decided to stress test the packaging by running over it after having left it in the rain for two days.

Was it appropriately hazchem-labelled? Then that delivery company is a cowboy operator looking to get closed down by the authorities, and you really ought to report them. No reputable company ignores statutory labelling.

You can trust professional delivery companies to deliver professionally - that's what they do. If you're worried, give them a ring and ask them how it should be packed and labelled - that's why they have customer helpdesks. You might want to describe it as an "x% insecticidal nicotine solution" if you're worried about spooking the FDA (perfectly accurate - it would kill insects.) Describe the product, and ask their advice. They'll probably have to consult and get back to you, but I really can't see it being a problem.

everything was properly labeled.. the company we shipped through was UPS when i worked at a diagnostic laboratory, and also the main reason we switched to courier service for everything.

we also tried dhl for a while, until they left a few "signature required" shipments sitting outside the delivery door.

Trintek, after reading your explanations in the last few posts, I really think you are doing the right thing (in way of handling, in choices of what to make including the stopping at 48mg - it really shows a good sense of responsibility imo to see you consider all inbetween-people enroute). And great if you will be able to ship internationally (and not from US-soil) also!

I'm surprised - I've never had problems like that with Fedex or DHL.
Don't blame you switching - I'd have gone mental if they'd squashed or dumped a box of azide or colchichine on my doorstep! 8-o

well, i have new labels ready to go, and will be reordering another small shipment soon.. the bad news is, i will be erasing all customer data.

I finally took a friends advice and am going to be accepting a small loan to get in some kits and replacement supplies so the the store is not focused on just the liquid. as part of the arrangement (and to get a 0% interest rate on the loan), i will be removing all current customers, updating the site to not allow orders until someone is verified, and require a new version of the pdf to be filled out and returned.

feel free to post comments as i really do value your input. if i did not, i never would have made the 48mg juice available.

at this moment in time, the store is active, but is not allowing any orders (by not allowing, i mean to say, please do not order if you currently have an account). i do not wish to delete the active accounts until i get feedback from the community, and especially from the people that already have an active account.

i will not be making any decisions either way for a week or so. I have tentatively accepted the loan, but on the condition that i have a week to go over everything and make sure it is ok with existing customers.

the basic proposal is this.
1) you download the pdf (still rewriting it)
2) you sign up for an account
3) email or fax back the pdf
4) account is verified against form data provided on the pdf
4.a) account is active if all checks out
4.b) account stays dead and we email you to fix any problems
5) you are good to order from us for at least 12 months

sambucalu & andel11:
thanks! i have been hearing back from many that ordered it and a few testers, the reviews are pretty positive. i ended up selling off all of my private stock as well, and will be meeting up with truckdrivingmouse sometime today or tomorrow to deliver his.

limoncello:
i will be updating this thread once new stock is in, will also be sending an email to anyone that opted in to the newsletter on the site.

nick o'teen:
the date is way off, i will be reordering monday or tuesday. the club i work at part time is closing for a bit at the end of may and re-opening as a hip-hop/rap club, so chances are i will be putting a lot more time into this venture :p

sascha:
cool :)

well here is the update. i will be ordering another 48 15ml bottles on monday or tuesday, as well as a few 510 kits, and misc other supplies. if everything makes it through customs ok, i should be restocked sometime around the 20th of this month.

lol my name is trinity dangit :p well, middle name and name i use anyway, jason is electronicstix, the cappuccino i threw in was his. really good stuff and better than most of the other coffee/cappuccino flavors i have tried.

i try to warn people, don't vape this stuff straight, use it for mixing only, but... everyone ends up trying at least one drop, and yeah... it's evil.. pure unadulterated evil. the guy that requested the 40mg chai called me this morning to bring it back and have it diluted. finished it up a few minutes ago, 30mg chai that kicks as much as any of the 36mg flavors i have tried.

i tried to get the orders in today, but had an issue with the bank claiming they needed a recipient addy... first time i have had that issue.. sent off emails, if all goes well, orders will be in tomorrow.

edit: btw, your truck rocks! i actually started missing my old rig after seeing yours. of course your cab is decked out about 500x better than mine was...

So, for any one that has concerns for our health and well being, I thank you, although I wish you would allow us, to do as we please

thank you Jason good product

so you vaped it direct from bottle... what's the buzz like? would one be able to get away with a very light cut of PG?
