Hello everyone,I purchased an atlantis 2 tank today and am very disappointed so far.I was using the melo tank and saw some pretty good comments about it being able to get a lot more vapor, but to this point the melo was a much better performing tank. Now i'm new at this so maybe i'm doing something wrong.Any of you all's advice would be greatly appreciated.I am using an istick TC40w.Thanks

Are you using nickel coils with it? Have you tried changing your wattage/temp or opening up that air flow? Prime the coil good and juicy?
I think maybe i didn't prime it enough.according the guy at the store i put 1 drop of juice on every little cotton hole and 1 drop in the center,I hate to keep saying this but there is a lot more to this than i ever imagined.

you may be right with the priming.
I soak my coils and then let them sit for an hour or so. if it's dry at all it can burn if it's slightly flooded u can blow out the excess juice. also with a new coil I turn down the watts like 25% until it's broken in a bit.
Starting low at the wattage/voltage is a good idea to. You really don't have to wait for a whole hour after priming the coil, if all that cotton is saturated your usually good to go. :D

i tend to put a couple drops in each wick hole, 4-6 drops on top, letting cotton soak it in, then fill tank, reassemble and do a couple of primer puffs (no power, cover airholes and take a couple drags)... look for air bubbles coming up from wick holes to indicate juice flow - at that point, i will usually let it sit for a minute (and let it contemplate the ferocious vapin' it is about to get...) then vape away...

Part of the reason you may not be getting the performance others do (even when priming the coils) is that your iStick may not have enough power for the 0.3Ω coil.

Atlantis v2 New Coils -- suggested operating ranges

1. 20-30W (0.5Ω coil)
2. 40-50W (1Ω coil)
3. 70-80W (0.3Ω coil)

@jseah posted this in another thread.

"The Atlantis v2 comes with a 0.3 and a 0.5 ohm coil. You can definitely rock the 0.3 ohm coils at 70-80 watts, although the vape gets pretty warm and the tank bottom heats up quite a bit. I was vaping it at 60 watts with no noticeable loss of flavor and very little loss of vapor.

I'm currently using the 1 ohm coil in an Atlantis 1 and I am vaping it at 40 watts. With just the one air intake in the bottom hardware versus two in the Atlantis v2, the tank bottom does start to heat up if you start chain vaping. I believe Aspire rates the wattage of the 1 ohm coil higher than the 0.5 ohm coil because the wick holes have been redesigned and are much larger on the new coils. The 0.5 ohm coils that come bundled with the Atlantis v2 has these larger wick holes as well."
