Found this little gem of an article first thing this morning relating to the amount/type of advertising middle and high schoolers versus their likelyhood to try e-cigarettes:

Teens most drawn to e-cigarettes by online ads

Survey was ran by the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) which is funded through the "Corporate Friends of Children Fund" where one of their biggest donors was Pfizer (creator of Chantix and Nicotrol Inhaler). All it takes to make it on that list is a mere $50,000 donation. So who knows how much they actually paid above that.

This is the same group that posted a section in Pediatrics stating:
Quick Facts about ENDS
  • ENDS contain a liquid solution that is usually flavored. Flavors, which are appealing to children, often are things like peach schnapps, java jolt, piña colada, peppermint, bubble gum, or chocolate
  • ENDS solution has chemicals (ie, anti-freeze, diethylene glycol, and carcinogens like nitrosamines)

Perhaps all the glorified adds for beer, liquor, fast cars, condoms, feminine hygiene products, sugary cereals, energy drinks, sodas/pop and a wide host of others that depict unrealistic scenarios and benefits for people that use their products should be looked at with such scrutiny. They are not, for the most part. Yet here we are again using ignorance and fear to sway the masses of ignorant sheeple. Nothing new with the approach, we all need lookin' after.
I have yet to see an over the top commercial for ecigs like I've seen for all the aforementioned. Cheers.

In fact, all seven authors of the study work for CDC (which has been lying about vaping and lobbying to ban vapor products since 2009).
Exposure to Advertisements and Electronic Cigarette Use Among US Middle and High School Students | Articles | Pediatrics

The study was published in Pediatrics, which is the propaganda rag of Big Pharma financed AAP, which has also lied about and lobbied to ban vapor products since 2009.

This survey provides no useful information for public health. Rather, its only purpose was to further deceive Americans (and the news media) to believe that teens only use vapor products because vapor companies are target marketing them to teens, and to lobby for the FDA Deeming Ban.

Right, it's another case of Teen A used an ecig and also reported seeing an ecig ad, which could mean(as the authors suggest) that seeing the ad contributed to use, or more likely means that Teen A is predisposed to ecig use and therefore is more likely to notice an ecig ad. Right?
