New TFV4 Won't Go Back Together

I just upgraded to a TFV4 and Cube II from an EVIC-VT, and was pretty excited when everything arrived.

I disassembled the TFV4 to replace the coil, and now I can't get it to go back together. Hopefully someone can help me out here.

When I removed the bottom, there was no gasket at all. My guess is that the clear gasket goes there (in the space around the coil), but when I put it there -- regardless of which direction it's notched -- there's not enough space for the coil to screw in to the top.

Any tips here, or did I completely miss what that gasket is for? Seems like it'll leak without it.

I know I have to push down kinda hard on mine to get the threads to catch...

There is an "O" ring as a seal which contacts inside the glass around the coil.

Just to get to know the tank a little, screw the coil onto the chimney, then place the glass in the bottom section, and then screw the coils /top section into the base through the glass.
