Hi all,

I'm Niki, located in Colorado. I just started using e-cigarettes about 5 days ago. Wanted to join here for the information this site has. :)

Having a few problems kicking the analogs to the curb. I've been a smoker for 18+ years and still smoking a few cigarettes a day. But I really want to make the switch to e-cigs. I have a hard time in the morning and maybe 1-2 times during my workday just out of habit. I know it'll get easier as I find more flavors that I like and get the amount of nicotine just right.

Anyway...
Hi everyone!

Hi Niki :) Welcome to ECF!

Here's a tip for the trigger moments; get some extra high mg nicotine for the times when you normally really crave a smoke -- 24mg if you normally use 18mg or 36mg if you normally use 24mg. Then, before you have the cig tell yourself you are just going to vape for 10 minutes first and if you still want it after that go ahead and have it.

Don't count the cigs that you do smoke, just count the ones that you don't smoke - progress is progress, right?

Good luck!!

Hello,
Im a 30 yr smoker. Dont be bummed, Im a 3wk e-ciger and I still smoke one analog a day sometimes two. Its hard to let go. Im enjoying Dunhall 18mg, for me its just the right TH and the flavor is very close to tobacco. You probably need a higher nic level. You should also check out the how too pages here to learn how to properly inhale, this could have something to do with how you are feeling. Good luck, keep us posted.

Thanks for all the tips! I'm for sure not giving up, just need to get it all just right. I know I'll get it soon, thanks to suggestions like you all have made and more reading, trial and errror. :)

I want to give up the analogs after I was diagnosed last month stage II malignant melanoma. It was a serious wake-up call that pointed out everything I'm doing to kill myself. If I can develop skin cancer, what makes me immune to lung cancer, right? My husband's co-worker uses an e-cig and he had told me about it, so I did a few months of research and decided to take the plunge.
