Hi guys and girls.....just bought myself a ZMAX V2 ... with a vini nova top...i also have an iclear 30S... trying to figure out th best settings for this thing is like reading a book in french ..(and i cant read french)..... i plugged my iclear in which i know is 2.1 ohms.. so i think i set my battery to 4.2V but am i supposed to change the watts as well or are they independant...... please dont go into maths and ohms X V / blah blah cos i aint got a clue...... if my ii clear says 2.1 whats the best volts to use and/or watts .... and whats the setting for RMS or MEAN.....

any single easy way of help woud be appreciated at moment .

There is no 'best' setting, it is a matter of personal preference.
You are either in volt mode or watt mode, one or the other.
Pick V or W, start off at a low power and work your way up until you find what you're looking for in vape quality.
If you get a burnt taste turn it down.

bought mine today for £80 brand new ..... smokes loely just like to get more smoke if possible.... think my juice aint highest qualty as im used to the disposable ecig tops from a shop

Volt and watts are separate. You either use volts or you use watts. Pick one. Thats it, just pick one. Then like the person said previously start low and work your way up until you get the vape you want. If you burn, and you'll know burned juice when you taste it, turn down the power. Thats as simple as I can make it.

There is Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage settings. The two are related, but separate settings that work slightly differently.


In variable voltage mode you have to change your voltage to match the coil. If you change coils to a different resistance than you'll have to change the voltage setting as well.

In variable wattage mode you set the watt level that you like to vape at and the mod will adjust the voltage accordingly. If you change the resistance of the coil the mod will automatically adjust the voltage so you remain at the same wattage setting.

Between the two I much prefer variable wattage. MUCH easier to change coils or entire attys without having to spend 5 minutes playing with the settings each time.

I would suggest using a mod in RMS mode if there is an option.

Choosing between volts or watts (you can't have both at the same time really) I would go with variable watts.

For the Vivi Nova, I'd stick in on 7 and see how you get on. For iClear30S, you should be good up to 9 or 10, but it might blow your head off!

(Nova could burn easily i.m.o.)

I have used iClear30S up to 10.5, some might have visited more, depends on the liquid really.
