That diagram I posted using pin 1 allows you too use a under rated switch. Now I will be double and triple checking myself before I begin assembly but that should work just fine. There are multiple ways of wiring this, I dont believe that any of them we found is wrong. Just depends upon what you want out of it, and what your comfortable with. That latest link posted is good info also I saved it along with the rest of what I have.

Thanks for the help

Capacitors are optional.

Use the sense pin. It allows you to use a non rated fire switch. If you didn't use it, and just switched Vin, the switch should be rated for 10 amps.

What purpose does the coapacitors serve? Also what is it that you use for low volt cut off? Is that the purpose of the Zener that is shown in mamu's schematic in post #20?

Zener is the voltage cut off. Questio about the Zener. What is the difference between the 5.6 Zener the person from redit used compared to the 4.7 mamu used?

Also still hunting the pourpose of the capasitors when used on the okr if anyone can help out.
Thanks

Not a problem. I have decided I'm going with mamu's schematics for the okr. but I'm going to cut out the meter and extra switches. I'm going with the duke style. If your interested in those schematics it's post #20 in this thread.

Yep, I've seen mamu's schematics, thought those you found seems to be a bit simpler for someone electronically ......ed, like myself. :D

hi rhelton !
nice to see some one in Spokane !
I am in the valley ...if you want to compare notes ..lets get together some time . one of my mods is a raptor besides 4050 c ...sx350 ...vamo ..dna 20 ectr
build all my own boxes and some diy magnetic switches .would be fun getting together
rolf

That would be cool, I dont exactly have all the tools I need want to help me put this together.

I'm the same as you Jack!! I'm still learning as I go. I always make sure I know what everything is and why it's there before I build!! I have figured out what everything is for except for one item. The 16v capacitor, still trying to figure that one out. I have heard you don't need it. But if it serves a purpose then I feel it should be there. I just need to know it's purpose!! Lol

If memory serves (wich it's probably don't) I think it had something to do with making the circuit more stable. IE:not prone to oscillations in the Vout

But take that with about a truckload of salt..

That makes sense. Hopefully someone can verify this. I think that is a very crucial part of the chip if that Is the function! And I don't like salt [emoji39]

Found it! it's from this thread on Mamu's forum Login

post#6. Although the thread is about the OKL2-T20 chip, I'm pretty sure the caps does the same thing here. :)

Yep its for output stabilization, in our use it wont matter but if your nitpicky and want 4.1111 not 4.1112 then you need to add the caps. I have one with and one without and they both are fine maybe a .01 drop difference depending on amp output. If I crank it up 5-6v it is more stable than down around 3.2v. I do notice a hum when exceeding 60watts @~+80watts from the one without caps but I rarely exceed 30 watts so all is good with or without.. This is using 18ga wiring w/good solder joints so ymmv...

Just remembered there was chats about it helping the duration time of vaping, extending batts a bit.. I use mine on passthru's so ymmv..
If I have them in my stash, add them if not no worries:2cool:

How are you guy's coming along. Im impatiently still waiting on the mail man for parts.Whats your plan for batteries, im curious as I have opted to go with some LG 20amp 35amp pulse. Im pretty sure they will more than handle the 10amp load limit. I dont have any urge to run this thing over the specs, and I think it will be plenty of power that way.
