Looks like I had another epic fail and read my ohm meter wrong. Try this again, I have pictures this time!

It is .18 ohm's with 20 gauge wrapped around a 2.7mm shaft.

Doi! Why the heck I put 1.5 I will never know! Stupid autocorrect I will go with lol. Meant to put .15 ohms, but I read it wrong, should have been .18

I prefer VaporsToolbox on my phone rather than Steam-Engine, but same thing. lol.

At least you are in the garage when you are building these stupid low ohm builds. That way when your battery goes into melt down mode. You will only blow your face off and not harm anyone else. Stop with the 20 gauge already. Get some 28 gauge. Read up on battery safety, and places to get authentic batteries. Stop putting yourself at risk of harm!

- Ditch the 20gauge wire and reassess if the person that left you with it is actually your friend.

- Like others already said, get some 28 gauge wire and start with something like 8 wraps around a 2.5mm drillbit in single coil. Once you are able to comfortable making decent coils, experiment with 6,7 and 9 wraps and observe their different behavior.
From there, pick your favorite and install 2 coils.

- Learn Ohms law and battery safety. Understand the difference between pulse rating and continuous discharge.

- Advance to 27, or 26 gauge and master your builds

- Try out 24 gauge

- After trying 24 gauge, decide if you are going to actually vape on the 20gauge or use it for bundling flowers ;-)

HEEEEHEEEHEEEEE......I wish I'da thought of that....

OK you guys are freaking me out.
I have been trying to read this thread, and have gone though a lot of it.

But seriously, is a lot of this obsessive?
Or do the coils only last .0007 seconds and you have make 10 of them a day?
Like an old school flashbulb, hit it once and its gone?

I was kind of worried that the backup coils for the equipment I just bought, that I am waiting for shipping?
Well replacement coils for that unit were out of stock.
So I won't really even get to try the thing until I get wire and make a big stash of coils?
yours Scott

I was sort of expecting you to say that.
Try using a normal driptip and closing down the airflow by a fair amount when using a 28gauge build.
Seems to me you were putting way too much air over the coils.
More air does not equal more vapor production. The amount of air has to be 'right' for every build.

While the dark horse is a great atty, it's main purpose is for blowing huge clouds (the same with the brick wire your friend gave you). Flavor, not so much.
