New to coil building - need some help

Hey y'all, made my first coil today. It was okay for a few hours but then one side stopped heating up and the other heated unevenly. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Plus the vapor production was not much better than my ego's. Even worse it sucked up the battery life from my little 18350's. So what would you suggest for a happy-medium coil build between battery life and vapor production? Mind you I'm very new to this. Thanks y'all! IMG_20141229_160328.jpg

What does it measure ohms wise?

Most 18350 bats are dangerous with builds below 1 ohm.

That being said, it sounds obvious that you have a bad connection at the one that is not heating up. Or maybe you just pooped that poor 350 out. If you take a battery too low, say 2.5v, you can ruin it and its junk after that.

In my opinion, there is no way of getting a satisfying vape using a dual coil dripper with an 18350.

Read about battery safety and then grab yourself a good high drain 30 amp 18650 battery and build a dual coil at around 0.5 ohms, or get yourself something like a kayfun or some kind of single coil setup at around 1 ohm.

If your coils are not built exactly alike or are not well connected you will get the other issues you are describing.

Check to see if the threads on the screws and the posts are intact.

I got a Hobo clone, and nearly got my first short ever because of it: The threads on one negative post were apparently stripped (after one build!) and the coil was loose. I was getting little vapor, no warmth, etc. Took it apart, and got really annoyed.
