I've read a handful of guides, but still have a couple questions.
I've got 60ml of 100mg/ml nic base 70% VG coming. Trying to get a couple fairly easy but tasty juices made to start to convince my wife a larger investment is worthwhile.

  1. Most versatile flavors to start with? I mostly vape dessert and fruit flavors. I assume I should have some custard/cream/vanilla flavors and some fruits. Also, who makes fruits (particularly strawberry) that tastes like fruit, not candy?
  2. What do you all consider staple items? Sweetener, sour, smooth, certain flavors, etc?
  3. Assuming I want to mix juices at 9-12mg/ml for tanks and 3-5mg/ml for dripping, what would be the easiest and safest concentration to dilute my nic to?
  4. I've got 1, 3, 5 and 10 ml syringes, nitrile gloves and plan to mix in some 10 and 30ml bottles I've cleaned out. Any other essential hardware I'm overlooking?

    Thanks in advance!

I am not an expert in flavors at all, but I would advise to prepare a batch of diluted nic; it looks like 40 mg of nic in PG or VG (depending on your target PG/VG proportion) will serve you nicely. You can take 20 ml of your 100 mg nic and add to 30 ml PG or VG. For all 60 ml of 100 mg nic you may add 90 ml of pg-vg. This part you may want to do in gloves in a well vented room. For later work with diluted nicotine I do not use gloves – just wash hands if got them greasy.

Later to get 10 mg juice you’ll need to mix 1 part of your diluted nic with 3 parts of PG-VG-flavorings.
(For 10 ml bottle it means 2.5 ml of diluted nicotine)

4 mg juice -1 part of diluted nic and 9 parts of other staff
(For 10 ml bottle – 1.0 ml of diluted nic).
