I want to start DIY.
I only like tobacco flavorings.
Is DK tobacco a tobacco flavor?
I asume Ry4 and tobacco bland are tobacco flavors.
Did I miss any other tobacco flavors?

I am ordering e-liquid blend 48 mg strength, + PG and VG dilution base liquid.

So if I take 5 ml of the 48 mg and mix it with 4 ml PG and 1 ml VG, that would take the strength down to 24 mg....correct?

Next question how much of the tobacco flavoring do I add?

Thank you so much!

That is correct but once you add flavoring then you will end up with less then 24 mg --- how much less then 24 mg depends on how much flavoring you add.

for example starting with 48 mg nic:

5ml of 48mg
4ml of PG
1ml of VG
2ml of flavoring

Would yield a final strength of 20mg

check out the calculator -- you can use the reverse calc part to come up with the what if scenarios

One Stop DIY Shop calculator

To start I would also recommend mixing in much smaller doses until you get a flavor/mix that you like otherwise you might end up with a lot of e-juice you are not happy with.

Hi emberl,

We carry a few different brands for tobacco flavoring. The PA DK Tobacco is a 555 type tobacco flavoring. RY4 is more of a mild tobacco flavoring in my opinion. We also carry some very concentrated tobacco flavorings from Flavour Art, they only require a couple of drops per 5ml bottle to add flavor. If you are wanting to create your own type of tobacco flavoring, you can use Tobacco Absolute mixed with PGA or warmed PG. This will make tobacco flavor drops that you can add to any liquid to give it a nice tobacco flavoring.

Generally with the tobacco flavorings, you only want to use 1-5 drops per 5ml of liquid, depending on the flavoring, and of course to your taste :) I always suggest to mix in small batches, and always start with less. It's a lot easier to add more flavoring if its too weak then to dilute your mixture, especially if your flavoring comes out to be 2 drops per 5ml, that level of concentration is very hard to dilute if you overdo it.

Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions!
