I'll give a quick rundown of my current setup.. I ordered PG/VG 50/50, NIC at 18% from ecig.com, and ordered about 20 flavors from Healthcabin, this is first time orders for me. I have an interest in mixing up several different flavors, so far none that I like. I have the syriges for measuring, and empty bottles. Been scrolling these forums for days and still have a few unanswered questions. I have an eGo-C battery with the C4(or5) clearomizer.

1. For those of you mixing up multiple flavors, do they ALL require steeping, or a quick hot water steep?I'm impatient :)

2. " " do you use a new clearmzer for each adjustment, otherwise it seems you wouldn't get the full effect of any adjusted flavors.. seems expensive?!

3. I've seen a lot of mention about adding alcohol.. is that for those mixing completely on their own( nic, pg, vg, etc..) I planned and thought i'd be fine with my pre-mixed NIC/PG/VG and just adding my flavoring to that.

Thanks!!!!!!!!

1) No, the fruits tend to be good from the start. I use the RY4ish types, caramels and things, which they say need to steep. But I too am impatient and vape it right away, so it just gets better and better. I do try to let it steep as long as possible though

2) I don't use clearomizers for trying juice, a dripping atty is much more convenient and easier to change juices

3) I don't add alcohol, but I do rinse all my equipment with it immediately prior to mixing to ensure that my juice isn't contaminated by bacteria, fungi etc. I leave my juice with the lid off the first day or so, lets any residual vodka evaporate out.

For me, when mixing multiple flavors, it seems to be better after about three days, but some are OK the first day. Not all flavors need steeping. Tobacco takes the longest, 2 weeks to a month.

A dripping atty works best for testing. A clearomizer will hold on to the previous flavor for a bit.

I never used alcohol, and son't see the point in it unless you need to have your juice thinned.

With 18 mg pre-mixed nic, just add flavoring. Start at 5% for most, You can add too much, and actually make your juice tasteless.

Dripping for tasting... Almost a must.

Multiple flavors can be a pain. Even though I am not a steeping advocate, I find I agree and when I mix, I end up steeping (most of my stuff is single flavor so no waiting.. wife wants mixed..Ugh LOL)

I don't use alcohol unless it's what is in the flavor already (I do get off the shelf from the grocery stores now and then and they normally have alcohol..) But.. I do use a drop or 2 per 10ml of Apple Cider Vinegar. I find it helps sooth some of the rougher mixes..and you can't tastes the vinegar.

One step at a time with DIY. Make small 5 ml batches to see if you like it or not. Take notes, and you will soon find it's not really that difficult.

I always suggest the ejuicemeup calculator. eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator With re-mixed nic, you won't need it too much. It does come in handy when you change PG/VG, or dilute stronger nic mixes though.

Thanks for the replies, all of this is a lot to take in AND take on, but definitely digging the vape scene and enjoying learning about it!
