Well here i am almost two years later and i am now deciding to create liquids. First off i have no idea where to get the vg with nic. I will probably get my flavorings from MBV since ive been buying from them for over two years.
Secondly, say i buy 30ml of vg at 100mg of nic. I have no idea how to do the mathematical equations to divide the flavorings from the vg. I want 80/20 vg/pg so i know that i will need 20% of flavoring since flavoring is pg (at least that's what ive been told). But when i bring in the nic into the fact, i have no idea how to mix that up to get my desired mix. I am currently vaping at 6mg of nic.
Since i have no idea what i am doing, i might be wrong- If i buy 30 ml of 100mg of nic. I will have to buy separate vg that is plain to use as a base, correct? If so, where do i get that vg?
And someone please give me tips on how to divide the vg/nic, flavorings, and plain vg.
I know there are threads already created for this, but that's the problem, there are so many threads, i don't know where to start looking. The lady said i have to start slowing down since i vape almost 50ml a week (it's getting expensive). So i came up with this option that will be cheaper.
(if i have to change my ratio of vg/pg in order to make things easier, i will)

do a search for danny45 and read his blogs and also Bills Magic Vapor and read his blogs. Those will get you pointed to other needed information plus answer many questions. As far as where to buy vg wherever you get your nicotine from will sell vg as well or essential depot is good or I've also purchased through amazon. search for ejuicemeup calculator and download but there are others to choose from. to specifically answer some questions it is all about percentages just like you mention. lets say you are mixing 10 ml (just for simplicity) and your shooting for 80/20 6 mg. if your wanting 20% flavoring and its pg (which by far is most common) then that would be 2ml total flavoring or 20% of 10ml. 100mg of 100% vg nic you would need 0.6 ml. total so far 2.6ml so you need a balance of 7.4 ml of vg and your total is 10ml. there are very important safety aspects and that is why i recommend those gentlemans blogs and others you will find through them. the ejuicemeup calculator will do all the math for you after you fill in a couple of blanks. good luck

Here is a great place to start. eJuice Calculator 4.0 | EcigExpress Archive Cookbook This allows you to plug in the info and go.

Now to get started as a mixer, the first thing you need to do is read every sticky in this DIY section. You will have a better idea what your getting into that way. Second thing to do is read danny45 blogs. Very informative. After you accomplish those two things, come back and we will point you in the right direction of where to get supplies and what you will need to become a master mixer. MBV might be a decent place for E-Juice but there is places that specialize in DIY mixing stuff.

One thing to keep in mind while reading is that it will seem like a daunting task. Its not. Mixing is very easy but you need to read the information so you can understand what people are talking about as well as avoid some of the pitfalls that comes with mixing. When you do start to mix you will understand why they say dont do this and be careful of that. Yet in the end, mixing is very easy once you understand the basics.

BTW, once you do start mixing and get set up and all, that 50ml a week will cost you not even a couple dollars.

I'm big on keeping it easy and also like to play safe. For ME this is more important than exact
PG/VG ratios and even exact nic. levels. This does not mean I cannot replicate my recipes fairly close, one to the next. This procedure should take away some of the difficulty and also be a "safer" approach for a new mixer. This is how I deal with it.....

As soon as I get my nic. 30ml/100mg (in your case), it gets thinned down to very near my desired strength and ratio immediately. If I step on it once with plain...30ml/100mg + 30ml plain, I get 60ml of 50mg liquid. Then I step on it again.. 60ml/50mg + 60ml plain, I now will have 120ml/25mg.

Stepping on it again gives me 240ml at 12mg strength.

From here you can further dilute however you like with PG or more VG along with your flavouring.

Myself I use only PG so I mix it right down to my desired nic level. But my flavour percentages are always low, only 3-8 percent so I don't really care if they bring down my finished nic level a bit. It's close enough for the girls I go out with.

Like I said earlier my priorities are ease and safety. This is what works for me, I don't even use a stinkin' juice calculator, when I add flavouring I use a pencil and paper to work out percentages to try, usually starting at 5% with everything.

Feel free to take all or none of this advice, it is YOUR journey afterall. Cheers.

Get vaper tek nicotine..it's the cleanest...no peppery taste like some others.

I'd get my pg/vg from amazon.com
Amazon.com : Nature's Oil 100% Pure Propylene Glycol (USP Grade) 16 oz : Health And Personal Care : Beauty

Amazon.com : Nature's Oil (USP Grade-Kosher) Vegetable Glycerin 100% Pure (16 oz) : Beauty

I would think about a nice digital scale so you can avoid using syringes/ droppers.
go here:
http://www.amazon.com/ONE-Weigh-Tri...=UTF8&qid=1423200551&sr=1-156#customerReviews

And i would get a magnetic stir plate...makes steeping quick...
Brew Smarter with A Stirstarter Magnetic Stir Plate for Home Brewers | eBay

You can check out my vid here i made might help some....seeing everything in action..
and good luck !

Looks like our dam cats are related. lol.
All my nic is diluted down so I won't kill the dam thing.
Still catch him tryin' to chew on lids.
Just does it for attention when I'm not paid up on my friendship dues. lol.

Nothin' like jumpin' in with both feet. I eased into slowly, sorta. Nice set-up and vid. Cheers.

Lol hitme, good thing nic levels are low considering kitty likes chewin on the bottle tops.
You should definitely keep all your stuff in a nice draw, and out of his way !....

Max is crazy, he jumps up on doorframes about 7 feets, then slides down, i think Siamese cats are insane...lol.
Got another cat names buster, much more calm, the opposite of max in every way.

Thanks for ups on the vid..glad u met max and liked it ! haha

Hopefully you had a chance to do some of that reading I suggested. When you do start mixing there is many places to get quality VG, PG and nicotine. So far I have used DIY shack nicotine, Wizard Labs nicotine and My Freedom Smokes (MFS) nicotine and have yet to encounter the peppery taste. I believe prior to my becoming a mixer that some pepper tasting nicotine reached consumers and that problem hos since been resolved. My last purchase was for a liter of 100 mg nicotine that the majority of went int the freezer for long term storage.

There is many ways to mix up our juice concoctions that we are creating. Froginblender shared the way he does it and it is very very accurate to within a gnats behind. For me its way too much work but there is a crowd that loves doing it this way. For me and others using syringes, pipettes, and glass cylinders works just as well and is a lot easier. I personally use a 12 ml syringe for my PG, VG and nicotine. Then I will use a 10 ml glass cylinder with tape on the side to help see the markings. With that I use 1 ml pipettes to measure out the flavors or concentrate bottles with dripper tops I will drip to the desired measurements. Its quick, easy and accurate enough for the home mixer and you can get everything you need cheap on ebay except the VG, PG, and nicotine. For those items and flavor concentrates i would go to a DIY shop like Wizard labs, MyFreedonSmokes, Bull City or one of those.
