So after getting a 510 / ego twist / ZMAX within first month and trying to stay away from rba's for a little bit.. I was thinking of getting more into dripping..

(since I'm stocked up on everything else atm.. this was my next idea to keep myself occupied for a few weeks until i order some protanks)

just bought a drip shield.. a nice dripping atty and 2 bridgeless attys to have as backups

I didn't spend that much $ on it which is always a plus

Right now I'm sitting on about 15 bottles of juices and i figured this was the best way to try them all without having to keep filling/cleaning my clearos and tanks

my 1st question.. is this enough to get me started and besides the great flavor it provides.. any other significant advantages to dripping?

and on the other side of things.. any disadvantages? will my attys last a good amount of time only dripping with them?

There is a learning curve to dripping, so don't be surprised when you flood it, get dry hits, or even pop an atty or two. We've all been there, it's just part of learning what you can and can't do with your atomizer.

I will forewarn you tho', dripping can become a compulsive behavioral disorder.

haha.. thanks for the warning.. my vaping addiction knows no bounds :)

Welcome to the world of drippng :D I presume you also have some drip tips to use with your attys ? If you haven't already you may also need to purchase a shorty sealed 510-510 adapter to use your dripshield. You can use any ratio of juice you prefer when dripping. Depending upon the atty the thinner juice may leak a bit more but you will have the dripshield to take care of that IF needed. :) You may find 3 drips works great with thinner juices and 4 better with thicker juices but that's all up to how its working out for you:)

When you first start dripping its a good idea to keep a paper towel handy while you're experimenting with how many drips works best for you. And IF your atty starts gurgling or seems clogged try taking the atty off the battery and blow through the mouthpeice into the papertowel to get excess juice out.

As long as you have your patience and sense of humor with you when you first start dripping all should go fine ! :D

I just started dripping but I went the rebuildable route. I love my genesis atty's, but when I used carto tanks I used to swap them out all the time to switch flavors. So, now I'm dripping and it's pretty easy to change flavors, just dry burn and go. I'm loving the flavor and vape production from this setup.

Good questions. I want to drip too and found many of the bridgless atty's were out of stock. Same with the sealed 510/510 adapters and then it's off to a different store to find drip sheilds in stock (usually). Anything else?

Does the genesis atty have a steep learning curve? I'm still worried about taking the time to maintain my clearomizers. Thx.

I didn't find it very difficult at all but I am mechanically inclined. I just had to find what resistance I liked. I started at 1.8 and worked my way down to 0.6 ohms. I like 0.8-1.0 ohms.

The only disadvantage to dripping is having to constantly top off. Basically, you can't really do it while driving and it is inconvenient at times. The advantage is definitely a more full and pure flavor. Some drip tips leak a lot if you put too much juice in, so expect to see some dribble out the bottom or sides. My previous attys leaked all the time so I always had it resting on a napkin. I have drip shields but don't use them because they make the draw tighter, but you may prefer it.
