I have been vaping since Jan. 2011. I have been using mostlytanks and carto's. I decided to try dripping, so I went out and purchased adrip shield, a 901 lr atomizer, a 306 lr atomizer and a 501 lr atomizer –all bridgelessand the various adapters I needed. I have a VV PV and have watch numerous video’son line about dripping. So when I drip I get a burning sensation in the back ofmy throat and I don’t really taste much in the way of flavor from my juice theway I do with my tanks and carto’s. I was expecting the opposite. What am Idoing wrong?

oh by the way I have and use both and I only use HR atty's on my lavatube. I almost exclusively use dripping. started using tubetanks a little, but i perfer dripping for flavor and throat hit. just keep it wet and don't over fill... a little practice and you'll get a feel for how to get the most from it. I hardly ever flood it and I almost never have them leak.

You can use both LR and SR with VV devices, just got to watch your setting. LR doesn't need to go higher than 4.5v tops if it's 2.0 ohm. As far as burning, either the voltage is too high or not enough liquid on the atty. I'd suggest checking voltage and then try a couple drops on the atty and pull. I will advise that some people have experienced not so great flavor with a bridgeless wickless atty because the vape is too much with the increased throat hit. Good luck.

I am using both VV pv and a 3.7 18650 tube mod - with the vv pv tuned way down to 3.3 and with the 3.7 tube mod - the vape is still way to harsh - plenty of vapor - just an almighty harsh throat hit. The flavor isn't there either - So is my issue the fact I went with the bridgeless attys?

Also the Ohms. Low Resistance is about 1.5 ohms, Standard Resistance 2.0 Ohms, High Voltage 3.0 ohms (roughly). Low resistance is designed for those who have a 3.7v device to mimic 5v vaping. I think that you get standard or HV atties and get the regular ones, not debridged.

Re dripping: the VVPV is a feeder mod and you shouldn't have to drip. I've not used one but the juice should be feeding from the inside of the mod. Could be a problem with the adapter and the feed system not working together well. Try your 510 without an adapter. Feeder mods work well w/ 510 and 306 (which should not require an adapter at all). I don't know about feeding to a 901.

Hope that this was helpful. Post back and let us know how you made out.

Not quite.

LR is 1.5. 2.0 is still considered low resistance. Standard resistance is 2.2 (Joye), 3.0 SLB. HV attys come in around 4.5 ohms.

To the OP... I would recommend standard resistance attys for your VV. Even though you CAN dial the voltage down to 3.3 or so (like an eGo battery), your VV device does a MUCH better job at regulating the voltage from dropping during a hit like a battery would.

I drip 95% of the time. LRs with an eGo battery and standard resistance with the VVs. LRs do NOT work for me with the VV devices. I've never used a bridge less atty -- never saw the need for it.

The only thing close to doing something wrong is that if you're vaping with a VV device, you don't need LR attys.

Bridgeless attys were once touted as the dripper's nirvana. The only difference I've noted is that more than 3 drops will flood them. In either event, I don't think that's the cause of your problem.

You're certainly correct in your thinking that you should be getting more flavor with dripping, not less. I can only imagine you're pushing too high a voltage through your attys—easy to do if they're LR.

My bridged atty's seem to break-in and work well after about 10 draws for me. I use Cisco LR & SR. I have also done a PGA wash through, Hot water rinse, and dry, and that works well for me. I haven't tried a bridge-less yet, but have a HH357 waiting for me to get better at dripping. Also the flavor of juice you are dripping will effect what you taste. In my experience, tobacco flavors really like LR, and sweet like SR.

I wanted to thank everybody again - For the most part the burning throat issue has gone away - either it was the breaking in of the atty or I just got used to it - not sure. Also the flavor has intensified over time as the atty has broken in - I am amazed at how much I am enjoying dripping now- my first experience, back some 12 - 13 months ago, was horrid but now that I have a drip shield all is great. Yea dripping!
