New to E Cigarettes

Hi there,

My name is Kim and I sure hope I end up posting this in the right place. I have no idea what I am doing as I have never posted in a forum before.

My husband and I both want to quit smoking and I found out about e cigarettes last week. I ordered a two pack of super minis. While I waited for them to arrive, I did some research and came across this forum. This has answered alot of my questions. The videos on You Tube have also been most helpful.

My e cigarettes arrived and I was very excited to take that first puff and try it out. It was awful!!!8-o Tasted like some kind of metal chemical mixed with dung. Then I read on this forum that the e cigarettes taste bad until you break in the atomizer. So I puffed but wouldn't inhale for awhile. I don't know if it was the cartridges that came with the starter kit or the atomizer because my Smokey Treats e-liquid arrived and I cleaned out the cartridge and filled it with the new liquid. Now I can honestly say I like it. It tastes like a cigarette, not my brand, but a cigarette none the less. I can live with that.

The small supermini is nice for when I am out in public but I want something that has a better battery life at home. So I am looking at the Pen Style from Smokey Treats. Can anyone tell me if that is a good company to order the Pen Style from?

Their pen is just fine. Glad you were able to get past the sometimes nasty primer taste. I haven't figured out why some atomizers have it and some don't, even from the same seller!

The Pen style is a good vapor producer.As to were to buy shop around,if you don't mind waiting,China Cheaper same quality

I purchased our two penstyles from puresmoker.com and that was back on Feb 5th and they are still holding up fine. Not sure if it was luck or what but they are both still working. Sadly though Steve runs out of products quickly so you would need to check often and prepared to order when you first see them up. The black one seems to have more ump to it than the white but that may just be me. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Hi Kim,
Welcome to the forum. I haven't purchased from e-smokeytreats, but I've read that they are one of the good guys. Most of the pen styles are the same. There are only so many models out there. For longer battery life, the DSE801 is supposed to be good. If you're vaping at home, I would suggest investing in a USB passthrough. It will screw on in place of your battery and plugs into a USB port on your computer. Wonderful little device.

I will echo the previous comments that a pen-style device, though quite a bit longer than what you have now, has good battery life and a large capacity cartridge. If you spend any amount of time in front of a computer, then what Wolf said is great advice. Buy a USB pass-through. It will power your atomizers so you do not constantly have to be recharging batteries. Once you get into it, you will come to understand all the stuff posted on this forum.

Don't know STreats. Neverteless, most pen styles appear to be very similar and do have a good reputation as a working horse.
