Hi all, ive been smoking cigarettes for about 6 years now and really would like to kick the habbit. My brother had gotten one of these e cigs and i liked it. So last nite i bought a blu disposable and i must say its pretty cool. I can smoke in my house, the bar, anywhere pretty much. Any ways im looking for suggestions on a starter kit. Ive looked at the V2, blu, valcanoe and bull smoke. They all seem like a good way to get introduced to vaping. I have read though that the blu isnt very good, but i did read the valcaneo and bull smoke are pretty good. What kits would you guys recomend and why?? I apperciate the help and hope to learn a lot from this forum.

Thanks,
Quinn

The Blu sucks and the v2 is grossly overpriced. Ive never heard of a bull smoke.

I also would recommend a bigger battery PV. Slim ecigs need to be charged very frequently and limit what you can use on it.
A bigger battery PV wil give you alot better battery life and give you alot more options.
Check out the kGo, E-Power, and Riva. All are 3.7V PVs and have 510 connections. Their all about the same price if not cheaper than the ones you mentioned, and are a LOT better

I would go with an ego type ecig and ego-c tank , ego mega dual coil cartomizers , boge 2ohm cartomizers . It is better to have choices of atomizers and/or cartomizers to suit your mood they are each good choices they all have their pros and cons but an ego system gives you a lot of choices of what to use with it . Later you can look into getting some kind of a mod or variable voltage system if you decide to stick with vaping which I think you should do . I use 1000mah batteries for longer time between charges but they can be a bit long and obvious . I have a 510 pcc system when I want to be a bit more discreet and a Knight rider ( lava tube ) and provari when I want to really get a stronger hit .

Welcome to ECF!

If you get into this hobby, your perferred methods and equipment will change. I started with the disposable Njoy from Walgreens. Went to the DSE801 (pen style) and thought I loved it. Then I went to the Ego-T and use atomizers for dripping. Thought I loved that too. Still do. But my latest obcession is the DSE510 (Manual) with cartomizers and drip tips. *sigh* I'm in love again. Love the size and the colors.

This is probably the best response so far because it points out that your preference will change. I started with Smoketip, it was alright, went to V4L and now use vapeshot products. I never went over the slim size due to portability and "social acceptability" of using slims.

Whatever you get, your preference WILL change.

Manual batteries are def better. They give you alot more control over your vape and they are sealed so its much harder to kill them with a juice leak. You can kill an auto battery with a juice leak. I would def get a manual, youll get used to it very quickly and it basically becomes second nature

I'd suggest KGO from Hoosiers but they seem to be sold out. :(

I really like the look of the t-rex and 310vapers has a kit that doesn't have a ton of packing in a fancy box which will eventually go into a landfill; rather, they give you a snazzy carrying case (meh, doesn't take much to impress me): Starter Kits - T-Rex - 310Vapers Store

(Again, I haven't used a t-rex. It looks cool with the band of light around it and youtube reviews seem positive. I'm just assuming it's similar to the kgo/ego. Maybe someone else can comment on it?)

The smaller the battery the shorter the life. It all depends on what you are looking for. the automatic battery activates when you suck on it. the manual you have to push a button. Depending on where and how you want to vape, you may desire one or the other. If you work outside and are used to a cig in your mouth alot, the auto will be the only one to actually provide vape without pushing a button. If you always are able to have two hands to vape, then a manual will obviously work ok. Even if you get the blog (type) I'd recommend at least one manual and one auto (if you even want an auto). I have both blu, and volcano and they do work. However and I cannot stress this enough, the battery life on those "little" batteries is extremely short. (I'd say 30min to an hour TOPS...) I do have the charging pack and it works as they claim it does. I also have a joye 510 Manual batteries and I use it mostly at home unless I'm doing something around the house. I do forsee a bigger device one day soon however.

What the folks here are telling you is possibly avoiding buying stuff you might just have sit around later and buy the bigger stuff off the bat. Obviously there's some theory to that. I don't forsee me EVER getting rid of all my auto batteries and tiny stuff I do like just holding it in my mouth while working and such yet. (I may get over that one day).

Anyway welcome to the forums and GOOD LUCK to you. There's lots of good info here and I'm sure you'll learn plenty and spend lots...LOL.

Regards,
Deach
