Not a fan of the eGo C atty either but a single 100mAh Twist and a USB charger + 2 Stardusts would get you going for about $43 and you could use your current system as a backup. Another $4 for a USB wall adapter if you wanted. If you found that the eGo batt didn't quite make it through the day, you could easily add another for about $28. All of this based on prices from GoodProphets.com. Be carefull though, there are a lot of cheap knockoffs of the Twist and many of them are really bad.

I'm fairly new too, and I was in your shoes a couple of months ago. You'll find that there are as many opinions about equipment and juice as there are vendors and battery, clearos, cartos, etc. out there. It's daunting. For me personally, this is what I wish I had known starting out, it would have save me money and time in the "trying it out" stage:

Buy an inexpensive ego battery, twist if you can afford it, regular one if not. Get a decent size, 900-1100 mah so it lasts on a charge. DiscountVapers.com has great prices and the owner is really helpful. Buy a couple of clearos to try, ce4's are fine. Don't forget to buy a battery charger, and you may want two batteries so you always have one charged. Two ego batteries, a charger and 2 ce4 clearos will run around $45 or so at Discount.

Then try juices from a reputable vendor. The Plume Room, Heather's Heavenly Vapes and Vape Dudes are some of my personal favorites - google them. The right juice tastes amazing and will make all the difference. I started with a kit I paid too much for and some terrible juice, and I almost got turned off. Expect to spend around $1 per ml of juice and you won't be disappointed - you can find better deals, I'm estimating.

Don't try to find a juice that tastes the same as a burning cigarette - in my opinion you won't find one, and you'll be disappointed. Instead look for juices that sound appealing to you and start with ones that get good reviews on this forum.

Again, these recommendations ate based on my personal experience, yours and others may vary. But if I would have at least had this as a starting point when I started, I'd be ahead of the game and wouldn't have felt like I wasted money.

Good luck, happy vaping!

Yea I thought about that with the flavors.. I ordered a red bull type flavor and a blue berry flavor from ecblend.. I tried to purposely get away from the cigarette taste..

I plan on jumping around and trying different vendors and flavors just cause I think its fun to see Whats out there.. when I land on something I like ill get a bigger bottle of that and keep exploring lol..

I really am going to read into the ego type battery because I want compatibility and plenty of vapor and power and all

The "4.2 Volt" output on your batteries indicates that it is an unregulated unit...not really a bad thing per se but it will not hold that 4.2 volts for more than a few minutes of vaping, right after a charge. It will quickly drop to about 3.7 and then slowly lower to about 3.3 where it cuts off.

It's not so much the power in your batts as compared to other cig-sized units...it's more a matter of proprietary connector. You can't get anything other than their (or other over-priced 808-D2) stuff. I have not been able to find an 808-D2 to 510/901/808-D1 adapter anywhere.

EDIT: When you see "KR808" or just "808" on a web sight, they are referring to the much more popular KR808-D1 standard for which you can a much larger selection of atty's. The 808-D2 gets you stuck with their stuff...which was the point.

I agree, it's fun to try stuff - I love Gandalf and Do the Dew from Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Dr. Venkman from Vape Dudes, and I just got my first order from the Plume Room, and they are now my favorite. I'm vaping their vanilla caramel Frapuccino right now and it's amazing.

I'm literally writing these down as I go lol.. I really like the idea of quitting smoking in a fun way that still works to getting yourself healthy but also cures your cravings and let's you decide when to lower your nicotine dose...

It really is like a dream come true as goofy as that sounds lol.. I honestly never believed I could quit and kind of gave up trying until I found these PVs.. I'm very confident this will actually work..

You know about the proprietary connector... it kinda really sucks because the battery itself seems to fit my needs.. I think that's what wants to make me want to find a way to work even more lol.. if that makes sense lol

I think I'm gonna keep trying to find a workaround and as soon as i get the money ill get a better ego.. I'm Deff gonna find a way and let you guys know but at the same time use the twist so i know I can always get parts...

I really Wana figure out a way to get a tank working tho just cause I do like this battery lol

As I said in a previous post in this thread, I'm really not a fan of these e-cig companies that suck you in to try their product and make you believe that it will be all that you will ever need. Truth is, the options with their product are very limited, as you are finding out now, unfortunately. If you had found this forum sooner, before you purchased your current product, we could have steered you to the better products such as Smokeless Image, eGo's, and the like. These have many more options than your current device.

You can choose to try to work with what you currently have, realizing that your choices are limited. Or, you will probably at some point, sooner or later, cut your losses and find a better product with many more options available. I realize you are on a tight budget which will affect your decisions and timetable.

Try to put things into perspective for the long run. Hopefully you will experience some savings using the e-cigs that you now have and not buying as many cigarettes. Put that money into a vaping fund for future purchases of better equipment. Until that time comes, learn as much as you can here on ECF and you will be able to make better informed decisions on what equipment and juices to buy when the time comes.

Well I am ecstatic to report that I picked up a Cig2O 5 pack of refills that I'm sure are 808-1 threads and it works!!

The threads aren't 100 percent right but the fit is better than needed to work.. been vaping on it for a while now with better than expected performance..

Now I really can't wait for my tank and liquid to get here...

Who would have thought quitting could be so fun lol..

A big CONGRATULATIONS :toast: on taking your first steps to quiting analogs. I am also new to vaping. Smoked APAD + for over 37 years.

I started ordering my juices at the top end; 24mg/ml usually, thinking I could always go lower when it felt right. I got sample packs from GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more and Juicy Vapor, LLC

I quit analogs the same weekend my equipment/juice/tank all arrived.

I am now branching out to explore more flavors, and lower nic levels.

I agree the cost can seem high in the beginning, but I know I will recover any money spent on vaping, from the savings on not buying analogs. So far, I have recovered the expense of my ProVari starter kit. ;)

I truely hope this works for you as well as it has for me.

Yea just from this thread alone I've found some diff units I've never seen before that are Deff within my price range if I use the money I've saved on analogs..

I plan on upgrading for something 100 bucks or less that I can use around the house and get a more pleasurable experience..

The one I have now will also be put to good use especially since now I know the 808-1 add ons will work..

One thing I've noticed is the Cig2o carts that I bought do work but seem to drain the battery slightly more..

It doesn't get hot or anything but just seems to not last quite as long as with the regular carts..

Anyone have a theory as to why this would happen??.. I'm hoping it isn't anything bad or dangerous as this opens new windows for me with my current unit..
