Hey names Austin, I recently bought Blue e cigs but I don't like it at all. Now I've looked up some stuff ans read around but I'm still confused. It seems there is so many things you need to start vaping. Can someone point me the direction of a good starter kit with everything needed either that or show me what I would need to put together a decent vape. I don't need anything super expensive, I'd like to stay around $60 if possible. Thanks!

I've only been vaping for three months now, but I have spent/ wasted a lot I'd money on the whole thing trying to find the right fit for me. I highly recommend an ego twist and run of the mill cartomizers. Boge, Kanger, etc. I have found the Kangers (they have what is called a bottom coil) to have a tighter draw for us newer folk that imitate closely to the draw on an analogue. This would be a fairly cheap set up to begin with, but highly reliable and not finicky. You can dial up or down the volts to find the throat hit and vapor warmth best suited to you. I know that Visions has a twist battery as well, but I have not used one so I do not know how durable they are compared to the ego twist.

You are going to get lots of different answers to your question but, here is a start. I just picked up two of these kits for a couple of people that want to start vaping here KGO kit1100mAh by SLB
Code 5off is good for 5% off and battery life with 1100 mah will be excellent.

If you pick up a few small bottles of juice, you will be ready to vape. The reason that I say small bottles of juice is because one of the hardest parts of vaping is finding a flavor that you like.

Good luck to you!

I do agree with Tricky on the Kanger T3 bottom coils. Easy to fill and inexpensive to use as they are reusable. You could get those here
Kanger T3 Rebuildable Clearomizer - Smoke

Along with this Starter Kit - 900mah!

For a good starter set up. The Twists are also nice and available through the same vendor. You would need two Twists and a charger, the T3 plus some juice. That may go a little beyond what you are looking to spend but worth checking out.

if you want a cig sized, I'd go with the Volt by smokeless Image,,,,,,make sure to get AT LEAST TWO of these (many of the starter kits come with two, and I recommend a starter kit), and you may want 3 or 4,,,,,,,you can only charge them like 300 times before they need replacing, so the more you have in rotation the better,,,,,,

if you want something larger with a good battery life, I suggest the Volt X2,,,,,,,,,,650 mah, 900 mah, or for LONG battery life, 1300 mah,,,,,,you'll need two of these too,,,,,,,get a 650 and a 900 or a900 and a 1300, or whatever combo works for you,,,,,,

grab a charger and some cartos (refillable) and maybe some juice, and you're good to go for about 60 bucks with either of these options.

Tricky68 - YEs I've heard/read alot about the Ego. Seems to be the goto choice for people or begginers?

Salemgold - Thanks for the input! The first kit you listed that looks like something that would be perfect for me. I know I didn't say it in first post, but I don't care if it's bigger than an analog. I also want a manual one not automatic which the KGO seems to be. And in your second post that one seems to be sold out. The more I'm looking at the KGO it seems good for me. So if I order this one KGO kit1100mAh by SLB all I would need is some juice and I would be good to go?

CommaHolly - That V2 kit looks decent also I'll have to look into some more also. Thanks!

Lots of advice, most of it good. May I offer some questions in order for you to end up with a more successful vaping experience.

What is your motive to use e-cigarettes? Is it to help you stop smoking? Health benefits plus economic reasons?

How much did you spend on cigarettes a month? I'll wait while you figure it up... :pop:

The reason that I ask is the limit that you put on your starters kit. Quality vape gear THAT WORKS admittedly costs a lot to get started. Once you have the batteries and attachments you need, your monthly expenses can be significantly less per month to just replenish disposable items such as e-liquids and additional attachments. If you paid $5 a pack and smoked a pack a day, that's $150 you spent a month on cigarettes. There's no reason to not put that money into you initial setup if you are truly serious about quitting.

I believe that to get acceptable gear that will not need to be replaced within a month or two will cost at least $100. Two eGo or Volt X2 sized batteries, charger, usb/ac wall adaptor, attachments to hold and vaporize the juice, and of course the juice. Bare basics.

In all likelihood you will soon tire of changing multiple batteries with the mini-cigarette lookalikes. The charge only lasts 3-4 hours. You need backups to use for when the first is charging and also when out of the house. Unless your device has to "look" like a cigarette, save yourself a step that most people take and go directly to the mid-level eGo or Smokeless Image Volt X2 batteries. The charge on these batteries last 7 - 13 hours, depending upon the size you choose.

Below are size comparisons of the Volt and the X2 batteries from Smokeless Image.

Tricky - happy hear that you are liking the eGo Twist. I have only been vaping now for 3 weeks. I started with a cigarette like - but I have just ordered 2 eGo Twists, 1 USB Cable, 1 AC Wall Adapter, 1eGo Carrying Case, some vision eGo cartomizers, some Kanger cartomizers and a couple of eGo clearomizers to try. Also bought 4 10ml bottles of different e-liquid as per the advice from Baditude I went with 18mg to replace my PAD habit. Right now I am thinking that the $170 is not too bad since that PAD here in Canada was costing me over $300 a month

Great advice... To add as far as the "attachments" go. I would look onto a vivi nova or a smoktech DCT. They are cheaper ways that you won't have to constantly top off a carto

I quit smoking using the Blu cigs. Then after a few months found the EGO's . I use an Ego type A. I use the batteries with the usb passthru charger. They are slim and fit discretelt in my shirt pocket at work. I use the Vision V3 cartomizers for the same reason, being slim and fitting in my vest pocket or tool bags at work (construction).
I reccomend using Electronic Cigarette, E Juice, Replacement Parts, Accessories for supplies. Quick delivery and official Joytech suppliers. So you dont end up buying a cheap knockoff. obviously there a tons of other options to choose from. But I find my setup, simple and convienient. Which is what I like. Good luck. Ive learned a ton on this forum since finding it so just research a bit.

Hey guys and girls. So I ended up purchasing the KGo kit from Hoosier e-cigs. Now I love it compared to the Blu that I originally bought and now returned. I bought 5 different flavors from Hoosier to try also. Also, Baditude thank you so much for the response from you it's full of info and to answer you question I'm using it to quit and I smoked about 1 pack every 2 to 3 days.

Now I have some more questions regarding the kit I got (KGo). It comes with 2 clearomizers and they are primed just so the wicks stay wet. The flavors I got are bubble gum, chocolate raspberry truffle, watermelon tart, almond joy, and candy cane all in 36mg nic. The reason for those was I saw a review here and there saying people liked those flavors. Now that I've tried them all I do not really care for any of them except for the raspberry one which is bearable. They all kinda taste harsh and chemically. Now is that because I got such a high nic lever or Hoosier's juice isn't the best? Note that I just got this today and I have cleaned out the clearomizers also.

Thanks for reading.

EDIT- Could the taste also be from bad clearomizers? I know the wicks are not burnt either.
