Hello, My name is Sal, and I'm soon to be a new e-cig user. I've been smoking a PAD of Newport's for the past 12 years, however in the past month or so, I've manage to cut back to 1 pack every other day. I've got my mind thinking that I need to stop smoking real cigarette's, and most of the time when I smoke analogs I don't even smoke the whole thing.

After months of research (online & talking with people I've came across in the real world who use e-cigs) , I went ahead and ordered my first Starter Kit from primevapor. I'll be using their "Freeport" 36mg to kick things off. I'm looking forward to receiving my kit, and putting down analogs for good.

However I will always be doing more research on how to get the best bang for my buck, using the primevapor cig.

I should receive my kit in the next day or so (hopefully by sat.)

I'll be sure to post what I think once I receive my kit.

In closing, Im glad I came across this site, I can already see it will provide me with valuable information, as well as let me share my thoughts , experiences, and ideas.

Welcome to ECF!
Lots of great info and helpful folks on this board.
Which starter kit did you get?

:) Thank You - I ordered the Deluxe Starter kit which comes with 5 - Flavor Cartridges 2-E-Cig Batteries
1 USB Charger - 1 AC Adapter (for USB Charger).

I went with the "Freeport 36MG" carts. My package shipped this morning, so I should receive it Sat. or Mon.

Hi and welcome!! You were kind of a light smoker, so don't be surprised if 36 is a bit high. I was a heavy, (1.5 packs a day at least for 32 yrs.) and only used 24 when I started and went down to 18 rather quickly. Have fun with your new set and keep posting.

Thank You - after reading various post's up here, I was kind of thinking the same thing that 36 might be a bit high, so when order my next batch of carts I'm going to drop down to 24, and then hopefully I can keep dropping down.

Thanks Again :)

Welcome to ECF! When your new kit shows up don't be afraid to ask any questions that may come up, we're always here to help each other out. Hope it shows up for you soon :)

Thanks Myriad Dark, I appreciate it. I received a tracking number, and it looks like I'll be receiving it on sat. (so 1 more day), however I know I will have to purchase a pack of analogs today :/ , but I'm really looking forward to receiving my kit, and making a full transition from analogs to e-cigs (hopefully sooner than later). I've read stories where people have gotten their e-cigs, and once they started they never smoked analogs again, but I've also read stories where people kind of alt. between the two, but eventually after a few weeks or so were able to quit analogs. No telling how my case is going to be, but I do feel good that I finally have a kit coming. I've only been putting it off for over a year :/ (shame on me)..... but something in my head told me "now is the time"

Welcome to ECF & congratulations on your decision - almost certain to be among the best decisions you'll ever make. As to the nic level, it may be too strong for you to begin with, but vaping is quite a bit different from smoking cigarettes anyway so you'll need to sort of "feel" your way through it. Instead of taking hard, fast lung hits, it works much better to slowly draw a mouthful & hold it for a moment before inhaling it. Then as you inhale, allow some air to mix with it... I do this through both nose & mouth... to smooth out the vapor a bit. Also, since the nic is absorbed mostly via the mouth, throat & nose, you won't need to inhale it as deeply as you would tobacco smoke, so before it begins to feel uncomfortable simply exhale through your nose.

Over the years I've smoked mostly cigarettes for the sake of convenience, but have also smoked pipes & cigars (and some other things I won't go into here ;) ), and looking back, the differences I just described applied to some extent with every different smoking experience just as they did with vaping. The texture, thickness, moisture content I inhaled is different in each instance, and physically accommodating the differences without coughing my lungs out was always a learning process. If you'll keep these things in mind as you begin I believe it will help you meter your intake of vapor and nicotine to what is comfortable for you, and you can adjust your nic level downward from there as needed.

Best of luck, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Welcome to ECF salventura!

I'm a recent quitter, sounds funny 'cause I ain't a quitter but for analogs yes!! I won't lie, I did feel like smoking an analog early on, not so much for the taste but for the nicotine...

What I did was carry some nicotine mints (hate the gum) and the craving would pass sure enough.

Today I still carry my mints but I haven't had one yet, so quitting is way easy!

:/ ah one of the disadvantages of living in a rural area... I know for a fact my package is locked up inside the post office. Good ol' Saturday, and the mail lady like's to get done early, so she leaves before all the mail comes in.
Tracking says it's there, and states delivery date as 3/17/12 ..... oh well, guess it will be Monday now. lol... I've never wanted a Monday to get here so quick in my life :)
