Hello everyone. I began using these devices 5 weeks ago and have been analog free ever since. I can't imagine making it this far without the advice on this forum.

A few questions:

1. I've been dripping for the past few days with batteries that came with my Ego-T setup on a LR 510. I've sort of gotten the hang of it, but I have a bit of trouble. When I press the button, I rarely get vapor right away. It typically "catches" after a second or two. Sometimes I think that tilting it vertically helps to get the vapor going, but I'm not sure.

I wonder if resting the ecig either standing up or on its side makes any difference? I enjoy dripping, but the 1-3 seconds of delay in making vapor is a big problem. Not only does it fill my lungs with air, but then the atty gets hot really quick, forcing me to wait longer between pulls.

2. Is it necessary to let the atty cool down before applying more drips?

Regarding the Ego-T....I really regret starting out with this device. It sucks. Although I've managed over a month with it, I cannot recommend it. Until I started dripping, I had no idea how much flavor you could achieve by vaping. With dripping, I get good flavor and massive vapor production (part of the time). The other day I took 4 attys and followed the utube video on how to clean out the atomizers. I even spent $8 getting a hemostat shipping from Amazon to remove the needle plate (very difficult process). At the end, all 4 atomizers gave off a burnt taste. I ordered two more and both give off a burnt taste and I spent this morning trying to adjust the wick and whatever, I'm over it. I had to find out through these forums that the Ego doesn't like dark juices, and that a certain PG/VG ratio is desirable, which is just annoying.

Point is, even if I really knew what I was doing, it's not worth the trouble. I expect that in a year or so, these devices will be great. Easy upkeep and hassle free. The Ego-T, in my opinion, is a massive fail. I really wish I'd invested in cartomizers, though I've never used one.

Good news is that I have a solution in mind to my worries: The Reo Mini. I spent some time researching various mods and this is the one I intend to go with.

I read the there was a Woodvil mini in the works. Can someone tell me what the advantage is to a wooden box? Is it just looks? I don't know if I should wait for an improved device or just order the the currently available one.

Thanks all!

HI :) Welcome to ECF!

#1> How many drops do you put in to start? There shouldn't be any delay in vapor production. Start with 4-5 drops and then add 3 drops whenever vapor production wanes (about every 7-10 puffs).

#2> You shouldn't have to wait if you are dripping. If you use any other vaping method (carts/cartos/clearos/etc) then you do have to wait for the atty to re-wick, but not dripping.

re the tank system: totally agree, it's a major fail IMO.

Good luck!

I dont KNOW if you should tilt it a certain way- BUT- I try to always keep mine at an angle- Either in a small one cup mason jar OR the top to a .223 bullet package- in the .223 setup, its long enough for the ego to 'lay' in it at like a 45* angle- but still be easy to pick up. not as agervating as when I have 5 or 6 in the mason jar (this is a tiny jelly jar- only one cup) and my syringes and all and have to look through them like looking for the ONE red pen in a sea of black ones in a pen holder-

*I THINK its a .223 case- there are so many shell cases/boxes etc around here that I would have to ask one of the kids or hubby exactly what caliber it came off of. :)

Mine get hot after just one hit. I like large hits, so I hold the button for quite a while. But I think with LR atomizers they are supposed to get hot faster.

Re:Rosa - I usually just do two drops at a time. I've tried more and it floods often. If I blow it out, I then put 3. I try to re-drip before I get the nasty burnt hit. If I get a bad hit, then I try 3. I read a post about the 10 Commandments of dripping and it says never to go above 2 drops.

You don't have to wait for the atty to cool down, but you might kill the atty if you let it get too dry. It sounds like you're power vaping and this can be somewhat risky where atty life is concerned.

I store my PVs on their noses and I hold them nearly vertical when I'm dripping. It keeps the juice near the coil where it can be vaporized.

I don't think the EGO-T is a major fail it is just under it's second revision. Do I think it was released to early? yeah I do. I think the Volcano Inferno-T and Magma-T are much better solutions than the EG-T currently is. They clog a little less they can tolerate slightly thicker juices and the batteries charge in about a 1/4 the time and they last much longer between recharges. I have the Volcanos and 2 EGO-Ts so I can compare apples to apples. Totally Wicked has them too but they are just rebranded EGOs.

I read a post about the 10 Commandments of dripping and it says never to go above 2 drops.
In my opinion, those commandments are wrong.

I put 5 drops in a clean, or completely blown out atomizer.
And after that I add 3 drops each time I need more.

EDIT: Of course, it's going to depend on your atomizer.
EDIT: And of course, the size of your drops.
EDIT: And possibly even the consistency of your juice.

Get some of the new 2.5 ml Echo-e cartos, they work great with the ego-t battery. Easy to fill, no leaking, burnt taste and every hit is consistent. You get up to 100 refills per carto. They are brand new in the States and are hard to get but if you are lucky enough to find one you should get one because they work really good on ego batteries. You can get one at Echo Cartomizers | Cropduster901.com when they are available and he is supposed to have more in stock tomorrow.
