Thanks for the welcome. I'll attempt to find previous posts for obvious answers, but the vocabulary here is new to me. Good to know I can ask:)

Ask anyway..... So many folks like to help. You will get all sorts of different answers to the same question, that's part of the fun. But when you get the sane answer over and over....... well, you know what to do.

first off ;) please don't call it smoking :D we are not smoking...no tobacco :D pure vapor...we are vaping :D

anyways welcome and congrats on your first step to a healthier choice.

So what kind of starter kit did you order? I'm going to assume something that looks like a cigarette....though they are nice for what they are, if you are a heavy smoker or really are wanting to stop smoking all together most people find that the e-cigarettes just don't do the trick or the batteries don't last long enough. When you reach this point feel free to ask for more info about pv's that don't look like cigarettes but give a much better/pleasurable vaping experience.

Best of luck to you.

Good luck; it's FAR easier than you could imagine. I'm on day 43 and have absolutely zero urges. Even while out at the bars I am not tempted. You'll find food tastes better, you can smell things and analogs will make you sick of someone is puffing one near you.

The best thing you can do is find GOOD juice, steep it and always have a backup and charged batteries. Good luck!

Hi all. Have decided to try the E-cig as an alternative to punishing my lungs with smoke. Ordered a starter kit this morning and it has already shipped(wow). You seem like a real friendly bunch, and I hope that's true because I will have questions. Good to see I'm not alone in this.

What starter kit you get and from where?

After some thought, I went with the Ego-T. I have a major cigarette monkey, and wasn't sure if the cig lookalikes were going to deliver the goods. Not extremely expensive and I can upgrade if needed. My issue is juice at this point. Ordered 4 small inexpensive bottles in flavors that I didn't find too extreme (I hope). Now I'm just waiting for the mailman......:)

I see you're from Ft. Worth. There are so many local shops that blend their own juices. It can be a lot of fun going into a shop and checking out all the flavors. Many of them also offer discounts for repeat customers, fifth purchase and the like.
