I used to be a very heavy smoker - averaged 50 a day

Bought my first e-cig over 5 years ago & since then I've just wanted to let as many people as possible know about them :)

Creamtea if you start your own thread more folks will spot you & come along & help :) The main thing though is to stear clear of the ciggie lookalikes as they tend to be over priced & under perform.

Howdy! Congrats on wanting to quit and finding this fantastic community! I was a pack a day for 20 years... that being said I haven't smoked since July 31st. Biggest thing I can tell you is that you just have to set your mind to it. vaping really does help but it's still only a tool. Me personally the hardest part of switching was my trigger points, i.e. after meals, driving, waking up... hehe. First week was a little rough. (I don't think my battery left my hand) But it got a lot easier! You just really need to be in the mindset that you wanna quit and you will. Good luck to ya! You couldn't have found a better resource for pretty much anything vaping related than ECF!

I've been vaping since March 2013. Only one analog in that time (when the car blew up on the interstate). I was paid-forward by a workmate and have been doing the same ever since. I don't actively preach the benefits, as some people have problems or get disheartened and go back, but I'm helpful and informative.
On a personal note my physician says my lung function has improved since quitting! And this from a 40 year cig smoker!
May you be similarly blessed with improving health.

Good for you RG! It worked for me. I was a PAD smoker (pack a day) for 25+ years until I started vaping 2 yrs ago.
Glad to hear your getting your "wind" back - wait till your tastebuds and sense of smell come back ( on the downside of this is that smelling a smoker may make you want to hurl ). This is a good place to learn and the people are awesome!!!

Welcome to the ECF! :)
