A nicotine overdose can cause rapid heart rate, so you might want to talk to a doctor about the hazards for you. Just start with a low level of nic and work your way up. I made the mistake of starting in the mid 20mg's and it was effecting my vision at night and made me space out while I was puffing away. I dropped down to zero nic for a week and slowly climbed back to ~24mg but puff less frequently.

Probably best for you to use the lowest level of nicotine you can tolerate. DO talk to your doctor. AND pay close attention to what your BODY tells you! Check your heart rate. If you feel dizzy, spacey, lightheaded, etc. then REDUCE YOUR NIC! As far as flavor goes, although I was never a regular menthol smoker, you may get good results from mixing tobacco and menthol flavors yourself. Order a variety of both and experiment to see what you like.

On the Kool menthol I'd suggest Nhaler's Nuport for the flavor. You can get it in HV (that means for high voltage mods and has more flavor added) at 12mg or at 24mg.

It's the carbon monoxide of tobacco combustion that is the main cause of vascular problems with cigarettes [tar for the respiratory problems]. Nicotine of course is addictive but it is also an anti-inflamatory so I don't see how that would relate to the heart.
