don't take this the wrong way. but you're probably going to be keenly disappointed with this product. i don't say this to criticize your choice. i had the same hope and reservations in the beginning. i say this so that when you DO become disappointed, that you don't give up and go back to real cigs. come back here and take the advice of previous posters. check out a riva or ego 501. great place to start that actually have the performance to mimic what you're used to and the battery life to keep you from chucking it through a window. not to mention that if you go with liberty flights you can get a set (2) of them for like $30. then have a visit to backwoods brew or freedomsmokeusa.com and get some 24mg liquid.

i don't mean to be a downer, but i've seen several people get the cig lookalikes, become frustrated and go right back to smoking. and that is a damn shame because a little patience and heeding of other's words will lead you to a product that will turn out to be MORE enjoyable and obviously way less harmful than smoking.

I agree mostly with kevinb83 but i have yet to be disappointed with my kr808d-1 I get probably 5 to 6 hours out of a charge. That's with using it at least once an hour to mimic 1-2 analogs, and a couple puffs here and there through out the hour.

Yeah I understand, I'm not expecting anything revolutionary.
But I'd rather just start off with something small and traditional-looking, I don't want to be getting weird looks in public.
But if it's not what I'm after then I won't give up, I really want to get off analogs.

I have a KR808D-1 and love it. I bought the generics to try out and then followed it up with a Bloog Maxxfusion kit when they were doing a 25% sale with free shipping! I don't think that you will be dissapointed, just make sure you are always charging one battery while you use the other. I also wanted something that looked like an analog, but after awhile that shouldnt matter to you which is why I got the black Maxxfusion batteries, I like the look and I like that they dont look like cigs so I can use them in public. One more word of advise, make sure that you stock up on some liquid and/or cartomizers right from the start! I didn't purchase any extra's when I bought my first kit, I ordered some juices when I started to run low on the cartomizers that came with my kit but I ran out before the juice arrived and I had to smoke analogs for about 2 days. The one good thing about it is I did not like the analogs anymore, and that was only a week after I quit! Hope everything works out for you!

Hey Like the Dexter avatar! Liberty Flights is an excellent supplier. Great customer service and you can call them to change the options on shipping. When I ordered it was just basic shipping. The ordering process didn't give any options. So, I called and spoke with a real person and he changed my shipping and I actually added a few more things to my order since I upgraded the shipping. I was like you when I tried my first e-cig. I wanted as close to the real thing as possible. I bought several over the counter disposibles from convience stores/gas stations. They were good. They were way longer than normal and had a green light on the end. The taste and feel was better than the real ones. Next, I wanted a battery that I could recharge, so I bought a starter kit from a popular US company. Again, it closely resembles real cigs but taste better. What I have learned thus far is that I have had a change in my way of thinking when it comes to smoking. I want to have the best smoking experience as possible with variety and device dependabilty. So, I started looking into these devices that look less like a cig and more like skinny cigars. several people have suggested the eGo 510 with an upgraded battery. after trying 2 or 3 e-cigs that attempt to mimic the look of the real ones, I began to be concerned more with the smoking experience and less with the appearence. So, I ordered a starter kit from Liberty Flights recently- I would suggest the eGo or t-Rex with a 650,900 or 1100 type battery. These will allow you to vape longer between charging. kits come with 2 batteries as well. Go with what you feel is best for you and continue to experiment. I have found what one individual likes best is not usually what some others may find enjoyable. Good luck in your search and do not give up if you get that first order that you mentioned and do not like it. My first attempt was not that great either. But if you keep researching and trying different products you will find a combination that suits you.

I will throw my two cents in here for what it is worth. I agree that if your are looking for something that looks like an analog and expect it to stisfy you then you are in for a letdown and I would love for you to succeed in your quest to stop smoking. I did the same as you and bought a look-a- like and was disappointed. Got to looking on the forum and bought a kit that was an ego. I was greatly impressed and I think you will be too. Great vapor production and the batteries will last you a long time between charges and you can upgrade to the tank if you want without having to buy a lot of other accessories. That is what I did and now I have upgraded to a mod. But whatever you decide I hope that you have all the luck in the world with your quest to get off the analogs Just a side note if you do decide to go with the ego check out Liberty Flight They will ship tp you and they have a 20% off offer.

I'm on the KR808D-1 as well, It isn't bad at all. Two charged batteries get me through my work day fine. At home a battery is always charging. I will say order extra juice and carts quickly. I'll buy my vendors claim that a cart = 1.25 packs of smokes, but with the ability to sneak hits in the walk in at work, and my lungs not getting thrashed out, and all...I was a 1.5 pack a day smoker (12-13years) and I'm going though 2 carts a day. I'm also buying some juice so I can keep my costs down.

Give them 24-48 hours, I think that's pretty common for any online stores.

ego batteries aren't any bigger than a cigar, and you can get them with no led ( in fact I don't know if they have any with led on the end) I started with a 510, then got the ego batt when the little ones didn't last long enough.

BTW, a passthrough is a wonderful thing to have

Welcome to the forum, and good luck!

Thanks :)
What is a passthrough by the way? I keep hearing about them but I'm still unsure about what they're for.

I insisted on one that looked like a cig when I started, then I realized that vaping is way more fun than smoking and I couldn't stand my cig look-a-likes anymore. I still wanted it to feel like an analog, but not look like one. So I picked KR808d with any color LED but red. But it may take you a while to realize that vaping is an upgrade, so take your time and do whatever it takes to switch.

Welcome to the forums!

If you keep yourself close to this forum you will more than likely find the support you need to quit analogs for GOOD!

A word of advice, from someone who went back to analogs(real cigarettes) at 50+ a day for almost a year. I understand your desire to have an e-cigarette that "feels" like the real thing. However, you will probably find (as many have already stated in this thread) that the battery life is POOR at best. This is because most models that look like a cigarette have a battery that is 180 mah or 200 mah. (Abbreviation for Milliampere-hour.) These may be fine if you have no problem with rotating batteries CONSTANTLY. but do yourself a favor and pick up an Ego (650 mah) or a Mod (various mah) battery that is compatible with whatever type of atomizer you are using. this way no matter what your choice is you will have a powerhouse battery available at a moments notice.... or for when you are not in public and will have no worries about strange looks.

This is just a tip from a guy who went back to analogs because the little, real cig sized ones became SOOO frustrating to me.

Pick up some Low Resistance cartomizers for the Ego or mod battery as well and i promise before long you will forget what your real cig sized PV (Personal Vaporizer) even looks like!!

I wish you all the best

-David

EDIT: i think that an Ego style passthrough would be the perfect thing for you because you can detach it from the cord and use it like a regular battery if you so choose. here is a link.

I hope I don't sound too picky, I'm probably looking for something too specific.
But if anyone here can point me in the right direction and suggest some models/brand/websites then that would be very helpful
