New to ECF and have some questions!

Well hey guys! I'm brand spanking new to this vaping stuff. My old lady happens to have one of these spanky little devices with no nicotine and I just always thought it was just weird, so I stuck with smoking.

Now that the people in my Guard Unit are all vaping they decided to get me to quit by giving me three batteries and a tank and juice. I barely know what I'm doing other than "push the button puff once and inhale"

Juices confuse me, PG/VG on the bottle confuses me, hell if it wasn't for them explaining the use of the damn button I'd still be trying to get vapor out of it.

I have three batteries, one tank and a bottle of juice called "Dragon's kiss" from some specialty store online.

I'm really just wondering since I read a little bit and see that these are like mid range models, what I should do to get more flavor and vapor, being the newbie is tough because I'm just so lost to all of this!

Any bit of help is appreciated! Thanks guys. :D:vapor:

One thing you can do is find a good vape shop in your area. Usually they will have testers out, where you can taste a lot of different liquids. Back in the days before there were so many vapor shops, we'd have to just order something that sounded good online and hope it was decent. You can waste a lot of money that way, lol. Being able to test flavors before you buy is a big improvement. It's no guarantee that you will love the juice when you get home and try to vape it all day, but it definitely improves your chances.

While you are at a shop, you can also look at all their vaping goodies. I'd say, don't buy something on impulse, go home and google or ask on ECF for opinions, but it will give you a hands on idea of what all sorts of devices are out there.

Good luck!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have one battery that my buddy said he bought from a local shop. It doesn't really have a brand name on it, just a fancy gunmetal camo color. The tank is a KrangerTech T3S, the juice is a 40pg/60vg and i think it's 36mg nicotine. the other batter is a Kranger p1402, that's what it says on the bottom! And the final battery just says "Vapinplus" on the bottom. all manual.

Well you have the hard part down pat. Push button get vape!
You can find tons of info here. I would suggest starting by reading some of the posts in the general section of this forum. Also ask questions from the people whoe gave you the stuff. It seems like a foreign language now but it should start to make sense quickly.
Good luck

Okay. The batteries all seem pretty basic. Which is fine. They're great for beginners and gets you into vaping. I would say something like the MVP 2.0 would give you more oomph. As far as Tanks go either the Aspire Nautilus Mini or Full Size, maybe try Beyond Vapes Silo (my fave).

They both have adjustable air flow bases which will help you with vapor until you get into rebuilding.

If you want more flavor in your juices I would up the PG. Doing so will up your Throat Hit as well which might mean you need to lower your Nic Level.

Welcome to ECF! I'm always glad to see another PA vaper! Getting started is overwhelming. As others have said, I'd recommend going to a vape shop. There are bunches of them around the commonwealth, and depending on what part of the state you're from, I can give you some suggestions. Also, keep reading and posting in the forum when you have questions. There are wonderful folks here with a wealth of great information!

    No you can't
You have a nice startup setup.

The nicotine is the addictive part just like cigs, at 36mg you should have no problem with addiction part.

I suggest that you find out what level of nicotine you were smoking and go 2 mg higher.

If you smoked menthol then also I suggest getting juice with menthol in it.

The rest your learn on your own with a little help here and there..

Again thank you so much for the warm welcome! See, I like sweeter juices, my buddies all had sweeter ones than the one I'm using and I loved them, but this one was stronger and almost had a winey taste to it and they just kind of gave it away. Best .... is free ..... But, I also looked up the MVP 2.0 and I don't think I'm gonna be really into the box. Thank you so much for showing me it though. I'd like to stick to the cylindrical models if that's possible for what I'm looking for!

Maybe a Vamo? I have a Vamo V5 that I have set up with either the Nautilus/Silo/Igo-W when I want Variable Voltage. I also use a K100 whenever I feel like it. It's simple and cute.

I must agree with the people that suggested the mvp2. If I knew then what I know now, that is where I would have started. Dependable, easy to use and has a fantastic battery life. If you are vaping 36mg, you must have been a heavy smoker. Here is a thread where you can find some good deals on juice. It's nice to find it on sale when trying new things and finding what makes your taste buds dance. I use to look there daily before I started making my own.

Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about your vaping success. Don't hesitate to ask anything here because there are always some wonderful people here to help you anyway they can. Here are some sites that might also help.

Welcome to the group, and I hope you don't get to flustered by all the lingo and jargon being thrown around, but in the end it is so worth it. You need to see if you can find a reputable local vape shop that knows what they are talking about and go in and sit down and enjoy trying new flavors, talk to the workers/owners of the shop and they should be willing to help you out immensely.

I for one would look for a VV/VW (variable voltage/variable wattage) mod and definately give the Nautilus tank a try with the BVC (bottom verticle coil) coil. If you are looking at deployment or something along those lines definately look into spending the money on a durable mod as well as the Nautilis tank with the metal around the glass as it will help protect your tank. Batteries! don't skimp for the cheaper ones, spend the money for the good ones. If you are a heavy smoker then look into the 18650 battery mods as they have great staying power and work for an entire day for the most part.

Good luck and I hope you find the vaping life a nice welcome to your life. It has made a dramatic change in my life as well as my wifes. It is worth the initial upfront cost.

So thank you guys so much for pushing me through the starting steps, I'm starting to understand it! Now I need to get into the build your own step, because I ALWAYS feel more satisfied if I build my own. Any advice out there on what I should go with for my DIY? I looked around a bit and realized the sheer control you can get from them seems much better than my simple starting setup.
