Was gonna post this as 1 of my 5 "initiation" posts before I can post elsewhere, but I've actually got a question that I need answered and maybe someone around here has had the same issue, and fixed it, or knows where I'm going wrong.
So. Little background. I did all my homework, spent weeks researching mechanical mods and sub ohming before I gave it a shot. Learned all about ohms law, what batteries to get, what batteries not to get, etc. I'll talk about my set up, then my problem.
Got my Igo - W RDA, dual coil, reading at about .4 ohms. I'm using the green sony 18650 vtc4 high drain batteries that have a 30a limit. And it's in my caravela mech mod.
Theoretically, I should be fine. A fully charged battery putting 3.7v to an RDA measuring .4 ohms only produces 9.25amps, well under the 30 amp continuous that my battery is rated at.
So here's my problem, it just started happening and I'm a bit concerned. Or at least I just started noticing it. It seems like whenever I'm firing my mod, the firing pin is heating up as well. Not like, oh .... that's hot, but also not just a little warm.
I can't figure out why either. I regularly disassemble and clean my mod thoroughly too. It doesn't matter if the battery is fully charged or if it's starting to die, the firing pin gets hot. And it does it with both of my batteries, I have two of the sony ones. I don't see anywhere that I'd be shorting out either. I'd attach some pictures but I don't know how..
