I've lurked ECF for some time now, and it's provided me with great information that's helped me along on my vaping experience. Before anything, I wanted to say that this is a great community, and I would love to be a part of it.
I've been vaping for a couple of years now, mostly on cheaper kits such as the Ego-T. A good friend of mine was showing me the capabilities of his, and it made me want to get something much more advanced. I ended up buying the Tesla battery mod, which I love, along with the EHPro Kayfun Lite clone. Now, I don't enjoy the idea of purchasing clones.. but the Kayfun Lite just clicked with me. If I have the opportunity to get my hands on a real one, I would like to. But as for now, the EHPro clone seemed like the best choice.
I received it early today, only minutes before I had to go to work. So unfortunately, I had to let it sit while my iClear 30 accompanied me. So, of course, the second I got home, I began building my first set of coils. Once I had everything put together, my Tesla showed it as 0.0 ohms, and it read short if I pressed the button to fire it. Maybe I screwed up building. So I scrapped it, and attempted it again.. and had the same outcome. Now, I've seen a friend of mine rebuild coils plenty of times.. so I'm pretty positive it wasn't my fault. As I was unscrewing the Kayfun, however, I heard a little noise. Still can't tell if it's an electronic noise, or possibly the noise of a small amount of juice on the center post of my Tesla?
So I thought, maybe it is the Tesla. My friend handed me his iTaste SVD, and it did the same thing. So I thought I'd give it one more shot.. put it back on the Tesla, but I didn't screw it in all the way. All of a sudden, it showed 2.1 ohms. Unfortunately, at the spot that it sits and reads, it's very loose, and sometimes goes back to reading "short"
So I know I built it correctly.. it seems the issue lies in the connection on the Kayfun Lite. Now, my question is, what about the connection would cause something like that? Did I just get a bad tank? Or has anyone had a similar experience and could fix it? I've been fiddling with it for house now, And I'm at a complete loss..
