New to ECF :)

Hello guys! I'm new to ECF but have been vaping for about 3 months. I have a Liberro Zenith Amo (510 fitting), a manual Passthrough from OkSmokey, 17 e-liquid bottles of different strengths and flavours, and various drip tips. I am a drip tipper and occasionally will use filled cartridges, but not much any more since I've began drip tipping. I don't do auto batteries, cartomisers, clearomisers or tanks, so won't be much use on those right now. Only standard atomisers at the moment! (keep it simple lol).

I'll try and be on here as much as possible, but sometimes there's not enough ours in a day :glare:

My first question is:
On the manual battery passthrough I have, there is a tiny tiny hole (so much so that you can't even fit a paperclip inside) which has confused me quite a bit, as from what I understand all manuals are supposed to be sealed?! or something. Shall I just ignore the hole when drip tipping or does it need to be sealed? If so how? One person suggested solder which could work. If anyone has any ideas then I'd love to know.
Also, if you're buying new batteries for dripping purposes always contact the supplier to see if they are or aren't sealed! I presumed that because it was manual it had a sealed fitting but it does not. Still, works absolutely fine though.

Happy vaping to all! I look forward to any responses. :vapor:

Welcome to ECF Landi. Is it possible for you to post a picture of your PT so we may see what you're discribing. I ask because my PT also has a "dot" in the center of it but it is filled. The particular PT that I have has an inline battery so I suspect that the battery tube that was used for it may be one that could also be used for an "auto" type battery.

Here's a snap, although slightly discoloured (the whole of the inside is brass lol). I was thinking about trying a drip shield or similar, depending on how things go. DSCF2391.jpg

That hole in the middle of the center contact may just be where the positive wire is soldered underneath. Manual batteries have no need for air passage into the battery because there is no vacuum switch to actuate. When they solder the wire, the hole is filled from the bottom side by the solder. Ignore it.

I'd guess your passthrough is a design that allows one style to be manual or auto, depending on whether a vacuum switch is mounted beneath the hole or not. You can check by using a fine wire. It shouldn't be able to enter more than a millimeter or two or three and then stop.
