:) Hubby and I quit analogs near a month ago (this Friday will be 4 weeks) with only one day where we went back to the stinky cigs. I was interested in e-cigs/vaping a few years back but got an e-cig I wasn't overly fond of, lol, so I stuck with analogs until August of this year when my oldest son bought me a decent ego type e-cig. Hubby finally decided to switch when our brand of smokes jumped up to almost $8/pack.

I've been reading here for the past few weeks trying to figure out the best experience for both of us. I've made a few mistakes (won't be purchasing from a local store anymore), had a battery explode while charging (scared the crap out of me and one of my kids!) and a bunch of cheapie batteries (purchased from said local store) stop working within a week or two of buying them (talk about frustrating). The day we were "forced" to go back to analogs we were both miserable, felt like we stunk, and hated the taste! So we are DEFINITELY in it for the long haul... hubby wants to wean himself off of the nicotine and quit altogether, I happen to really enjoy vaping so I don't see myself quitting any time soon but will wean down my nicotine levels along with him.

I'm waiting for my MVP 2.0 to arrive some time this week and I'm ridiculously excited about that :) It's my first step away from the basics and I've seen nothing but good about it. (Also tried one that a friend of mine had... and loved it and have been coveting it since!) So anyway! Looking forward to reading more and more, getting to know some of you...

WOW! That's one of the best "First Posts" I've personally read!
Welcome Aboard! You got some perseverance! If I had a battery explode on me when I first got started, I would have ran to the nearest Tobacco Store and bought 2 cartons and quit the ecig FO SHO!

You will be very happy with the MVP, The wife and I are! The button is a bit stiff, but it doesn't take long to get over it.

Welcome the ECF! Congratulations on your decision and my sympathies for the mishaps along the way! Finding juices that satisfy you will be the hardest part of your journey, mainly because there are so many to choose from.

My brother-in-law bought an MVP v2 this weekend and absolutely loves it (in fact, I'm a bit covetous, myself).

Hello and welcome and congrats to you and your hubby...... good choice in the MVP.... and you will be ridiculously excited once you get it as well. I've had mine for over a month and I've never been happier. It's made quitting analogs so easy. Enjoy it and just don't try to wean the nic down too fast..... take your time and baby step it. Don't want to feel unsatisfied and end up buying a pack of analogs because of it.

Hahahaha! It was like a roman candle! What scared me the most was that 2 of my kids happened to be in the room it was charging in moments before, one was my 2 year old... I had NO idea that could happen until it actually did and then I started googling. In part I think it was my fault... though also the store I purchased from. The charger wasn't a trickle charger??? I've remedied the issue for sure. I actually called that particular B&M store but was shrugged off... I actually need to call them back (all but ONE of the products I purchased from them does not work anymore... not cool). I did find a better B&M store that has been EXCEPTIONALLY helpful as we navigate the switch. I find them a lot more trustworthy. :)

Heh.... My 2 yr. old probably would have ran me over trying to get out of there! Scary to say the least!
Finding the right store that is knowledgeable about what they sell seems to be really hit-or-miss these days as more people without any experience or knowledge of these things are only in it for the money before the well dries up!
IF you find one you're comfortable with, by all means stick with them... but hunting around will almost always yield the best results. One store may have better service with devices, another may be a hidden gem with their In-House juice. Finding what it "Right for you" is both an exciting hunt, wrought with periods of disappointment, but worth the effort.
Once you get your 5 posts and your membership is updated :)25 after the hour, every hour) you can start looking around in the regional threads and get the heads-up on the best hunting spots in your area!

Almost there! 5 it is ;)

There's LOTS to read around here... lol

My almost 15 year old got to the wall first, then reacted accordingly... we were both a little shaky after that, lol. It freaked him out but thankfully he didn't panic.

The place I got my original set up from was not a Vape store... just a head shop, I realize my folly there. Yep. LOL

There is TONS to read around here... you get sucked in fast, especially when you ask for juice/mod suggestions! *Beware*

You got a smart one there, My 13 yr. old would have shoved both of us out of the way, slipping in her own Panic-Poop!
I don't have a B&M vape store, or a head shop... I'm regulated to web-sales unfortunately. You're lucky you got choices!

Congrats on quitting. I started vaping a year and a half ago and never looked back. Lots of trial and error but eventually you will lock down the perfect mod and juice to vape. For me it was my epipemods pipe and various carto tanks. As for juices, I tried about 30 different ones before finding the right ones. I am hooked on d&d's berries and cream. Good luck. Quitting is the hardest thing in the world. There are lots of us on this forum going through it with you.
