Five years, that's fantastic! Congratulations and welcome, sounds like you are just going to fit right in. :) Oh, gosh, to not enable, stay away from some of the "check out my mod/what mod should I get" threads is all I can say....

I spent a lot of money after joining ECF. That said, I started taking vaping seriously around then and thought I was on the clock for vapacopalypse 2018. That said, were I not on that time frame, I probably wouldn't be DIY juicing OR making coils, either. It probably helped, spending all that $$ to keep me off cigarettes, I would feel really bad about myself if I bought a pick of cigarettes *now.* Other than that, all I can say is congratulations on your vape anniversary, that's great :)

Is raising geese hard/interesting?? The only thing I know about geese are feeding wild ones with my kiddo at the pond until he got bored of it.... He had a great time, I found them vaguely terrifying, they are *quick* and beaky, LOL.

Nice to meet you, hope you stick around :)

Too late, I have already been looking at what others are recommending. :)

Geese are easy to raise, much easier than chickens, until breeding season comes. The males are very protective. They are as intelligent as dogs, and can be easily trained. If you take your son to the pond again, don't go in the spring, and move slow around them. Bring a bag of frozen corn to feed them. It is better for them than bread.

Thanks for the info, Goosegirl. The kid's 20 now, so I'm not so sure he'd be up for a goosefeeding expedition.

I feel a mixture of glad/sad that my warning came too late, :D but have a LOT of fun!

I didn't know geese were that smart and trainable, interesting. I've housesat for chicken owners and they are a fair amount of work, but its quite fun collecting eggs and whatnot.

Cheers,

Anna

Goosegirl, I guess anything's possible.... I'll have to find out if there's a goose pond in Tucson, though I kinda hope the kid makes it out of town before choosing a life mate, LOL. The last chick who wanted to date him was a stripper.... He said no.... In a non-maternal fashion, I was like, "Kiddo, really....?? You sure???"
"Mom! She just had an abortion a month ago so I know she doesn't use protection all the time, besides, she's probably emotionally vulnerable right now, too, that's not right!"

I guess something went right for him growing up. I did explain from a young age that respect of women means protecting them/yourself from pregnancy, STDs, and being kind during the breakup, I guess he was listening SOME of the time. :D

My mom wanted a million grandchildren, he was the first in the family, so wound up being a family project, he had so many uncle and stepdad mentors, and for a long while, they'd all fight to hold him and I got cuddle time during breastfeeding, LOL. He's smarter than the lot of us combined, I think.

I did promise not to be *that kind* of MIL, but got a bit worried when at 12 he decided Tyra Banks had "charisma." I was like, "No, that's a personality disorder and boobs, honey." He also quit vaping before I quit SMOKING too, aieee....

Okay, I shall stop being a doting mom, back to mods, since you are looking: I bought a Steampunk Tesla Nano 120 and I love its vape. The battery door is a fatal flaw, but I bought a sleeve and I think it's worth it. :)

I just bought a new mod a week ago, so I am probably good for another month.
Welcome and glad you joined.
You want to stay away from RDA's they are very habit forming and one will not do.
We have a wild year round Canadian geese population in the bay area. They visit our park's grass pitch, and are always grass pecking/fertilizing. They tend to avoid people, but you can get to within a foot or two of the older ones before they waddle off.
Might like to check out:
Oh look, another new guy

Hi Goose Girl, neat story. 5 years huh? Wish my wife could meet you. She feels this is a man's hobby. Well not vaping but, the equipment you have. She is still smoking analogs as I quit 6 months ago. She feels she would feel funny holding what your using to vape. Not natural, so to speak. Please lady's no haters, just voicing my wife's opinion. She did initially try quitting the same time I did when we had GreenSmoke. Which is a cig looking thingy. She was fine with that. But the experience quickly wore off. And basically we both fell off the wagon (or is it on). Anyways, I got into variable mods and that gave me the the feeling and the illusion that I was blowing real smoke. Today I made myself a new Vanilla Coconut Sugar Cookie DIY recipe that is real tasty. Knowing my wife also has a sweet tooth I asked her to try it she really really liked it. So tonight I am breaking out our old GreenSmoke cig battery and filling it with this juice. Tomorrow I am going to ask if she will try it for a couple hours. Just reading your story and seeing your post has given me inspiration to give this a try. I think when we are all part of a community (like ECF) and share story's we all win. Who knows, just by you posting and joining this community could help another person quit smoking. And I bet you thought you were coming here for help. See you just never know...............

Hey Anna, same with me. Feel real bad buying a pack. Not because it is bad for you but, because I have spent so much on vaping

Spindrift61, unfortunately the industry has focused on "manly" devices for a long time, but it is changing. There are many smaller mods that will fit in a woman's hand now, and they even come in pretty colors. I used a pen-style for a long time. Most women I have met who vape are into convenience, so make it as easy for her as you can, and make sure it is a leak resistant device that she can throw in her purse.

My favorite tank if knocked on its side will leak a little, so it gets placed in a side pocket of my purse.
