Hello all from Boston, MA. I have been using apollo ecigs for about 5 months and I think they kind of suck and are expensive. I am looking for a new cig and have searched and forum and it is very complex what is out there....so I am in need of help please. Money is not a issue, just looking for a good ecig. Can you guys recommend one for me please? Also the type of atomizer/cartomizer. Looking to get everything from one website. Many thanks in advance.

Welcome to ECF!! You have really come to the right place to answer questions and gather information!!

One of the things you could do to help people with requests, is to tell us your vaping habits... like, do you want something small and descreet, or size dont matter...

Do you need longer battery life?

Do you want tofill your own cartomizers with nicotine liquids?

How much do you tend to vape in a day?

Things like that would help you make a good decision with all the recommendations out there......

For instance... my husband does not vape alot... he uses a slim Vapor4Life battery and fills one cartomizer with our preferred liquid a day. I on the other hand, need a battery that will last all day and due to my heavy vaping... I use both ego for dripping when I need the warmer intense flavors and a go-go with a tank for most of my day :) He likes the slim cigarette looking battery, and I dont care that mine looks like a magic marker with a baby bottle on top!!

Good luck :)

Hey welcome. I have a joye 510 tank system and i love it. Easy to fill easy maintenance and the vapor is great. Just shop around you can find good kits at sale prices at some sites and some offer eliquid in the kit as well as pcc's. Good luck with your search. This forum will help alot. You can also watch reviews on youtube that helped me as well.

...either KGO or E-Power from hoosierecigsupply.com...hard to beat any way ya go...from the same site, Boge2.0 or SmokTek 1.7 cartomizers...get at least a couple or 3, 5pks, these are considered disposables, at less than 1.50 apiece and should last thru 8+-ml of juice...toss and get a new one(they can be cleaned/reused if wished).........

Thank you, also what is the difference between an atomizer and cartomizer? Also what is the difference between the low resistance ones and regular ones?

An atomizer is just a heating coil that you either drip on or use a 'cartrige' to deliver a few drops of nicotine liquid. Those are used on manual batteries.

A cartomizer has the atomizer built into it, with an absorbant filler to deliver the liquid to the coil. These come prefilled, or 'blanks' that you fill with your own nicotine liquids.

Low resistance will usually give warmer thicker vapor.... but will drain a battery much faster
Regular ones are standard resistance that will produce vapor not as warm or intense and will not drain the battery as much.

I am not very schooled on resistance and such.... there are experts on the forums that can educate better than I. Once your post count is up, you will be able to ask these questions in other threads dedicated to those topics :)

I just ordered the e-go T Type B. I ordered from liberty flights (20% off right now) but there is a great demo on this site: Joye eGo-T 900 mAh (Type B) Starter Kit (EGOTSTK900B)
I have the Green Smoke kit I got last week but I'm returning it because I didn't want to mess with refilling the carto and I vape wayyyy too much to mess with it. So this system looks convenient and has great reviews. I ordered a few X-Lg containers (forget the technical term and I can't seem to get to the liberty flights site right now) and also some X-Lg atomizers which are required for the larger containers. Just be sure to have extra atomizers in case yours dies. Other than that all you need is to order some e-juice to fill it unless you plan on making your own. I ordered everything to make it but also ordered some pre-made juice so I have it until I figure out how to do it. Good luck!

Thanks again guys...so is the volt any good? Can the prefilled cartomizers be refilled? How long would a prefilled one last for?

Prefilled can be re-filled if you either clean them first OR use a compatable flavor... and the lifespan depends on how much you vape and your liquids. Hubby gets 3 weeks out of his, I get 3 days :)

The volt is a good PV, but, again, the battery will not last as long as a bigger e-cig. My hubby tried it and does not like the 5 second cut-off time on them. He uses Vapor4Life batteries. They have the longest cut-off time we have found at 13 seconds.

(cut off time is the time the battery allows you to inhale vapor before the battery cuts the power)

HI everyone, this is my first post as I too am new to e-cigs and the forum (obviously). I have been reading a lot of posts here and watching YouTube reviews and such for the last couple of weeks and finally think I am ready to jump in to vaping with both feet, hopefully not getting my batteries wet :)
I was a pack a day Camel filter smoker for 30 years until I ordered and received a GreenSmoke starter kit at the end of September. I was completely satisfied with it. I got it on Sept. 25 and haven't had an analogue since Sept. 27. At least for me that means it worked and did what it said it would. So, I won't be sending them the box back, as I feel that the product was good quality.
Having said that, I do wish to move on in order to get a better vaping experience. So, last night I ordered a Riva 510 starter kit from BitFumo here in Italy after comparing similar kits at LF and Janty. I think I got a good deal - won't know for sure for a couple of days but, I think so based on almost everything being the same with the devices offered except that the one I ordered has two 1100 mah batteries while the others were 750 and 650, respectively.
So now my newbie question for you old hands: I love the cartomizer idea because I'm lazy and, at least for now, don't really see myself playing alchemist too much. I did already order some juice from LF (gotta put something in the 510 when it gets here, right?) but I was wondering if anyone out there still buys prefilled carts for 510s and likes that? I know it isn't as cheap as refilling but it still seems cost effective compared to smoking. And, finally, is it true that all 510 carts are compatible? I see that Janty offers a lot of prefilled cart flavors so I was wondering if I could go with theirs if I do indeed decide to go with prefilled instead of refills. Thanks for any advice or experience you can share.
