Hi and welcome to ECF. They both have a cone into which you jam that hollow mouthpiece/tank.
It is refillable.
The big black cone screws off and at the bottom of it, there is a heating element with a spike that punctures a cap on the tank. This is supposed to allow the juice to drip onto the heating coil.(atomizer)
In the ego-T, the cone and heating coil are all one piece. When the coil burns out, you have to buy the whole assembly. It is a one piece atomizer.
In the ego-C, the cone and the coil are two separate pieces. You replace just the coil (atomizer)
Because you only need to buy the atomizer, and not the whole cone, the C is the preferred unit.
The lesser of two evils, you might say.

Google "eGo-C and eGo-T" leaking- they are problematic. You won't find many vapers using them.

Might as well skip another step (fixed voltage eGo's) and go with a Joytech Twist or Vision Spinner, both which are variable voltage eGo's.

Variable voltage has become commonplace in vaping, and allows you to adjust the voltage of the battery's output to the juice delivery device. This allows you to adjust to each flavor that you use. Different flavors will taste better at different voltages; sort of "fine tuning" the heat to the flavor. The below video demonstrates the Vision Spinner, but applies to the Joytech Twist as they are essentially the same battery with minimal differences, and made by different manufacturers.

Well then, would you recommend an alternative. I like the size and design of the ego-c/t

Realize there is an eGo class/ style of PVs. The JoyTech eGo fires @ 3.3 volts
The SLB Kgo is 1100 mah fires at 3.7 volts- $43.99. KGO kit1100mAh by SLB
Both Vendors are ECF listed/ verified and both the above PVs are manufactured by large and reputable companies.
Battery Info: 100 mah= 1 hour normal vaping before recharge.
ALL the above PVs are the most popular 510 threading= a wide variety of delivery device options (holds and vaporizes the juice). I own both an eGo and Kgo and notice the difference. Among all my converts the Kgo is their preferred device.

Here's a Kgo review

Hi aeon. Welcome to the ECF. Congratulations on your switch. If the size and capability of the eGo class devices is What you are looking for then you could go one of many directions. This is the kanger evod kit Kanger EVOD 650mah Starter Kit There are many vendors, this is one I prefer. This kit has eGo sized batteries, includes two tank/clearomizers and five replacement coils for the clearomizers. This uses standard eGo threading(510 inner thread, eGo cone/outer thread) and has a higher voltage output than the joytech batteries(3.7 for the kanger v.s. ~3.4 for the Joye)..... There are other kits similar to this but this is the first one I thought of. The only thing you would need other than this would be some liquid at your nicotine level, and of a flavor of you choice.

The reasoning behind this recommendation is multiple fold. I have used both the "t" and the "c" and while they did work ok, they where just ok, but there was too much fiddling, they where too expensive for the performance(or lack thereof) and they where just too unreliablefor me to find the patience to continue to use them. They leak fairly easily. They burn fairly easily. They are hard to clean and maintain. Replacement parts are more on the expensive side. The Kanger on the other hand has parts that are desgned to be taken apart easily for cleaning and maintenance. The replacement coils are in expensive, and this would be the only part necessary to replace. The eVod clearomizers perform very well for both flavor as well as vapor output. The eVod clearomizers are much more resilient than any "t" or "c" I have ever used. They have nearly no tendancy to leak. This is also true with most ego and clearomizer kits that are available. You could even jump up one notch above this and go straight for a variable voltage device in the same eGo battery class with a product like the twist or spinner if you feel you want to jump right in with both feet........

If you have any questions feel free to ask here or even message me if you like. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone have any experience with the Ovale ego stuff?

Ovale, is a part of the Joyetech family. Not wholly owned by Joyetech but a partner. So chances are high that the batteries/atomizers are made in the same facility with the same parts. Joyetech has been trying to project themselves as a premium supplier by requiring partners to be listed as authorized resellers of their branded products, as best as i can tell ovale has been their way to still sell products to unauthorized vendors who prefer not to meet their requirements for the Joyetech product line. This is sheer speculation , but I know that the two companies are bussiness partners who have products that are incredibly similar if not identical in every way(other than the logo) .

Good solid choice. Keep in mind that Ovale is probably also sold as Joye other places, if you intend to shop around. Same great product. I use the 650 size also and it fits in my pants and shirts easily.

Many people outgrow the ego-C,T setups quickly, but there are many threads on this forum with tips on how to best use them.
