was at a smoke shop around town and had heard about ecigs from friends and what not. The shop had three different ones priced at 60, 80 and 100. the 60 set looked really cheap, the 80 dollar kit also looked cheap but came in a charging case. The 100 kit (the one i got) had two atomizers, two batteries and four cartridges. it is called an ICIG spade. from research after the fact it is an automatic battery. seems to work well but wondering if anyone else had info on these?

While your decision might not have been the best (difficult to say without more information on the exact model), you are not alone in having made a snap decision. I did a similar thing when I started vaping back in April, and spent $150 for a single battery and atomizer kit at a mall.

Fortunately for both you and I, we landed here. I suggest you start by doing some reading, watching some reviews, and you'll be graduating to a bigger and better device soon enough. The community here is very supportive, so never feel afraid to ask a question.

Hi -

I had never heard of it, but I googled it. Their website is: http://www.ielectroniccigarette.com/store.php/categories/Starter-Kits

One of the main concerns i would have is that the replacement parts are very expensive. Each battery is $40 vs 12-20 for the batteries of other models. Each atomizer is $19.00 vs 10-8 for other models.

Another thing is their ejuice - not that you have to use theirs - is $50 for 15 ml v $15 and under for other ejuice suppliers.

I would recommend seeing if you can return it and order something more like the 510 or 801.

Take a look at Ecigsupply for all your e-cig needs - I have not ordered from them but they have alot of different models you can look at.

If possible, you should return the kit you bought - it is way over-priced - and do a little more research here on ECF. I would recommend an eGO kit, which you should be able to locate quite quickly for around $50 at one of the suppliers that advertise on ECF. Good luck to you on your new vaping adventure. I smoked heavily for 55+ years and quit the same day I started vaping.

If possible return your kit. All the research and reviews you could ever want will be found here. Resist the urge to impulse buy just any old kit and your vaping experience will be greatly enhanced. akingsley9000 provided a link to a good price on a Ego. I suggest you check out the registered suppliers here on ECF and go from there.

Basically for what you paid for your current kit you could have gotten an Ego and enough juice to last you almost a month.

They have the Riva kits for sale for $29.99. You might want to do that. The Battery will last you most of the day if not all day. Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510
You can also get really good ejuice at BackwoodsBrew.net. It'll save you a ton of money.

I should point out that I mentioned the 510 and 801 in my initial post, mainly due to the desire of most people who are initally starting to have something similar to an analog. I started with the 510 and it was a great little unit. I have since upgraded to the eGo and I love it so if you are comfortable with the eGo then I do recommend that you get that.

This is where I ordered my eGo from and I have no complaints with their service.

I'm not sure if its still valid but august20 is a coupon code for 20% off.

While you may not have made a good choice on your purchase, you made a GREAT choice to start using and e cig and this forum is an excellent resource :).

Liberty Flights have Rivas, which are an eGo knockoff and right now you can get the whole set up for $29.99 + $2.99 s/h...many people even prefer the Riva over the eGo, I like them both :). If you order from them, to get them for the above price, make sure you enter coupon code: August20
There is a 3 month warranty on the batteries, 2 months on the atomizers and 3 months on the rest of the kit (excluding carts)

Here's the link to the website:
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

Good Luck

Don't feel bad I did the same thing you did and now I have about 150 invested in junk I don't use. This is a great place to learn about vaping and all the options. I have finally settled on an eGo and I am very happy with it. Like someone said in an earlier post don't be afraid to ask questions the people here are really helpful. I have learned a ton since I found this site.
Good luck and happy vaping:p

Thanks for all the support. After doing some more reading i think i am liking the idea of a 510, with manual battery and all. I called the shop and they wont do any returns. but i have been using the device for a few hours and it seems to be working great. I am sure it will not last all that long but will prob order a new one (Prob the 510 cus i havnt heard one bad review yet and like the looks and size.) soon and just use this one till it stops working.

Definitely what Banjo said!!! I had the same experience when I first started, I didn't know anything about anything to do with vaping a few weeks ago, and I wish I could remember the guy's name who said it best: "The best thing you can do is find your own journey through this whole process". Do your own research and your own thinking and find what works for you, and the best thing that can happen, believe it or not, is to spend money, only to be severely ...... at the end result of something that just didn't perform as good as what all the pretty pictures and BS that led you to the purchase. I refuse to knock any vendors as that is just not cool. What if it was you and In business and trying to make a few bucks in this failing economy? Having said that, my journey led me to the Joyetech Ego which only satisfied me with a Low resistance atomizer and 24mg juice, which by the way, came from freedomsmokeusa, and is a 50/50 blend that was recommended by the owners wife who stated clearly to me, "that is all he vapes" Sure enough? It satisfied my craving to smoke for a whole 4 days! Then I started getting irritated at leaking juice from the atomizer(even with the cone), paper towels, and the battery life seemed great at 650mah, until I went somewhere, it would always seem to die when I was going somewhere? So I looked at everything that's available and after reading mod after mod from the super T to the precious, to the buzz, to to the prodigy, the Golden Greek, Omega, silver bullet, to the wet box, I decided for me, that dripping was not the answer.(for me) In order to really replace cigarettes, I needed a device that was as easy as lighting a cigarette, smoking it for a while, putting it out, and 30 minutes later smoking another one, and being able to do that all day long without doing anything else. I think I finally found that device in a wooden juice feeder model with a stainless steel feeder needle(I will let you discover which one that is) Starts with Phidius:)
Thanks for reading. JB

You could lend it out to friends and family members that might be interested in trying it out essentially using it as a converter e-cig. ;)

Great idea akingsley9000. Once you get your new kit are satisfied with it (I have a 510 and love it) pass your old kit along and see if you can help someone else get off smokes.

Or try code: "ecr69" for 15%
or code: "e-savuke.com" for 10%

(just incase the other one isn't working any more)

Cobra1713, I screwed up big time with my first e-cig.....from a mall kiosk...."NO REFUND" signs all over the place and I still laid down almost $200 for what turned out to be a very weak, short-lived little ecig..........but it got me off cigarettes, and it led me here. My next kit was a 510 and I absolutely LOVED it. I passed my little "mall mistake" on to someone else....who now has a 510, and she passed it on to someone else. So, the way I figure it, there are no real mistakes we can't live with. Dots connect. That's my basic take on everything in life. Congratulations on finding e-cigs and I think you're going to just love it more and more.

I think we all started with little units. I'd chalk it up to experience like I did, use as a back-up or let others try it to show them what this about and get a longer lasting unit. I have a 520, a mega 510 manual and love it. Hubby used my first one and finally tonight I let him use my 510 all night. I'm negotiating with him for an eGo xl so we can SHARE the 510 a little easier, I do get very protective of my baby. He's now down to about 2 analogs in a week and cousins next door have made the decision to switch as well. Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping and pass on your experience, seeing is believing and cousins are SHOCKED that I have been analog free since 8-8-10 with egigs.Share your first kit and think of it as a demo device, we are always happy to welcome new folks here, like yourself, just wait until you convert someone! It feels great. You may well save a life.
