New to Ecigs, Smoke Free for over a month

Hey everyone,
I bought my first ecig on Aug. 20th at the mall. Had done a little research into the ecigs a couple years ago, but lost interest. Got the "Smoke Free" ecig, came in the "Duet" starter pack. Kinda pricy (usb charger, a/c adapt, 1 batt, 1 pack carto, nice box for $120) added 3 boxes of cartos, and carry case. Total cost almost $180. But I loved it! Did not smoke another cig while vaping. Was back at mall next day for 2nd batt. I have smoked since Jr. High, started smoking regularly in High School around 1969. So I have smoked 1 PAD for last 40 years. Have not smoked since the ecig.

After living on the internet for the past month, I discovered Blu. The Pack technology blew me away. Charging while in pack was very attractive since the Smoke Free takes between 5-6 hrs to charge. Also the social feature is quite high-tech. Bought 2 Premium Packs, one for the wife. Again, I have not smoked for over a month, have never gone this long before, but do not feel deprived or stressed at all. I cannot believe how easy it is!! Been online, learning non-stop since last month, and have kinda stuck my toe into the waters of carto refilling. Got juice from Johnson Creek (Sample pack) and Volcano (Menthol Blast, incredibly strong menthol), tried some blank cartos from Volcano. They seem better than the original Blu carto, easier to draw. Plus the white carto looks cool on my black Blu.

Has anyone heard of the Smoke Free? I'm looking for compatible batts/cartos for mine. It aeems the Volcano is the same as the Blu. Is the Volcano Magma a clone of Smoke Free? I hope so. I've been to so many site looking at pics and still do not know.

Welcome, the suggestion I would make is IF you buy another PV, spend the money and get a good bottomfeeding mod. The reason is its so much easier and less messy. I did the same as you and have now spent well over a gand, when if someone had told me to begin with to get a bottomfeeding mod, I woulda saved alot of money. Other than that congrats on no analogs. If you want to know anything Pm me, i will be glad to tell you anything you might wanna know if I can.

Welcome to ECF and glad you like vaping but you WAY overpaid. Those "big brands" are just rebranded standard models that they charge several times over for.

Yeah, I figured that out when I found the Blu for $70, and that's with 2 batts (I paid another $30 for the Smoke Free 2nd batt) and that cool pack. Looking around, I'm seeing what look like even better prices. But they got me to stop smoking. I go back and forth between them now.

Welcome to the ECF! The first item called "Smoke Free" I found was at smokefreeonline and it looks like an RN4081. You can find accessories much cheaper! It takes a lot of nerve to advertise an RN4081 atomizer for $55.

I would love to find blank cartos (both my units use cartos) and maybe another batt for the Smoke Free. Even though I got robbed, I still have stopped smoking!!!!

Congrats on stopping smoking! My only advice would be to stick with what you have for now since they're working out for you. In the meantime read as much as you can on the forum to educate yourself about the various systems that are available and the different vendors for hardware and juices. Then by the time you need to start replacing batteries etc. you'll have an idea of what looks like it would suit you.

Now that's what I call a helpful response!!! Thank you very much. Don't get me wrong. I am a hi-tech gadget freak, a video gamer since they were invented, love sci-fi, big screen hdtv, etc... I just do not want to get real deep that fast. Starting to calculate how much $ I will be saving. Cigs cost me $5.70/pk here in Md. Trying to get my wife to go vaping 100%, she's about 85-90% now. I'll look just to satisfy my tech addiction. Thaks again, I think I'll be at ECF quite often.

Hope it helped. It's just so easy to get into buying one system after another and spending a fortune. You may eventually want to switch to something else, but there's no big hurry since what you have is working.

I like a lot of the same things; sci-fi, gadgets, but like computer games of the Myst variety more than the video games. Not very good eye-hand co-ordination. lol

Glad to have you aboard. You'll like ECF. Lots of help and good information. It takes a while to find all the neat stuff here!

Bottomfeeding...??? Uhhh, like I said, I'm new. I think that I want it to closely resemble an analog, and my wife definately does.

If that is the case..you cant go wrong with a joye510 kit you can get those for about 30-40$
and the part are much cheaper then any big brand rip off site...anyways good luck on your venture..and Im glad at least what you got worked for you..my first ecig i bought from the liqouor store..was gouged..but i dont regret as it led me in the right direction

Does the Joye510 look like an analog? That's a must, at least for now. After I received the blank Volcano cartos today, my experience with my Blu has improved greatly. It's a lot easier to draw, and I'm getting off on mixing and filling and vaping. A lot more pleased than 24hrs ago. Thanks in advance for your tutoring.

That is the important part that you stopped smoking! and if it works for you that is a good deal no matter the price to get you to quit right? But, you can find cheaper and IMO better models then what you have. I had a trio 51 and a cloud 9 smoking e cig before I got my Riva. I hated the short battery life on those things.

If what you have is indeed compatible with the RN4081, then AZ Smoke Free is a good place to buy cartos for it.
