After long talks last night and directing to this site I think we have a few things figured out and agreed on ( side note everything I "googled" came back here that's too cool... and looking at flavors cotton candy and other food items let's just say I had an odd dream swimming in flavors.
Here is my "shopping list"
From joyetech.com
ego 510 starter kit has 2manual batteries, 2 510 atomizers, 1 510 usb charger, 1 wall adapter, 5 joye cartridges = 50.00 shipping ?

From vaporkings.com
Adapter, driptip,empty cartridgs,rn4081 charger, 10ml butterscotch, 10ml classic tobacco + shipping =33.07 ( how long would 10ml last?)

From thevaporroom.net
Mega battery, weekender (gingerbread) + shipping = 27.00
( I'm on a mobile there is a popup "storeid somethin something something) is that normal?
I know that's a lot of stuff and will prob spread it out over the monthes. What do you think should be the must haves for this month?

Hm... "must haves"? Depends. One thing is, that seems a lot of "kit" for somebody starting up. Be careful not to rush yourself. That's a way to end up spending a lot of money on stuff you won't use. Like me buying a Blu only to later realize I could have better for less money.

Such as, you mention drip tips. Sure you need those? There's more than one "technique" to vaping. A lot of things determined by personal preference. Things you may not know you prefer until you get going.

But drip tips are for "dripping". That is, you drip drops of the e-liquid onto the heating element in the atomizer to create the vapor. Might be jumping in "head first" as a beginner?

There's also the question of separate atomizers or cartomizers. Cartomizers have the atomizer (the heater) built in. That's Blu's approach. Very easy to use. Screw the cartomizer on the battery and you're off.

A separate atomizer is for such things a doing dripping or using tanks. Like the Joye 510-T which I have, which has a small plastic tank that you squirt the juice into then put the tank on the atomizer then screw the atomizer on the battery. I like it because it's easy to do the refill. I use the 510-T when I leave the house. I can squirt some juice in, pop things together, run out the door.

At home, in my wee home office (aka "disaster area"), I use a pass through which has no battery at all but, instead, plugs into a USB port (on my USB hub, it needs a powered port) and I use cartomizers which I refill. Since I have the time, I can let them sit and soak in a bit while I'm busy and have two going at a time. One in the kitchen soaking up the juice, one in use at the computer.

Don't rush yourself though. You'll want money for juices. Wish I had the money I spent on the Blu back. I could buy more sampler packs to try more e-liquids.

That's another thing, many vendors offer "samplers". Smaller amounts of different flavors in "packs" and such assortments. You'll find yourself wanting to try different juices. Believe me. :)

i had the same question then some people were telling me not to get blue at all that it is not worth it so i got the volt and was wondering if its worth it and if it will fit other Cartomizers!?

I'm not terribly familiar with the Volt but a web search turns up that it uses the "KR808D-1 threading standard". So armed with that standard, you should be able to find compatible items. Also, adapters for using 510 items. Doing a Google on "KR808D1" turns up such as these folks: thevapestore.com. I don't know them, can't say anything about them, but they have supplies in that standard. And there are others.

Those funny numbers are something worth learning. Like the 510. That's a standard. So you can get parts and pieces from a variety of places and not just be stuck with one source. But you'll see 510, 801, 901, and such. Those are standards for the screw threads. An 801 part won't screw to a 510 without an adapter. Which you can find such as here: Coupler 801 to 510 Adapter (that's a vendor I do buy from, nice prices, fast shipping).

I settled on the 510 for two reasons. It's one of the common ones. Seems everybody has 510 parts. The other is Blu is 510 (well, basically) and I thought maybe I could salvage some parts from the kit. Which didn't work out in the end. But 510 is working out fine so it's good.

That bit about threading standards is one of those "wish I had learned first" things. Come to understand the basics of that and you start to see, "I can get that over there and save money over here and, look, that vendor's having a sale...." such things. :)
