Just wanted to get some input on what you all think. Like some, I tried out the xhale from 7-11 and since I knew it was crap...2nd one broke in 3 weeks (got 1st replaced 2 days after bought). I think it's time to move onto a better product and come a step closer to quitting.

After reading a couple of posts I think I've gotten some choices narrowed down. They are:

Joye ego (last longer w/o recharge but bigger)
510/kr808 w/the pcc (since it has a pcc, good for on the go and size is same to a reg cig)

I assume vapor is a "good" amount between all 4 and the price(s) is in the range of what I'd like to pay.

That's about the choices I can think of atm. Hehe, to be honest I never knew there's so many choices for an e-cig. I knew there were a couple of variations but not this much. I might get both models down the line but not sure which to start with.

Thanks and sorry for the long post.

Hi, and welcome. You've narrowed it down to two good ones. There are fans of both here. I personally love the eGo or the Riva (it's clone, but good in its own right) best because that's what I have. I got mine at E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings for $29.99 and it's great. Make sure to click the 20% discount button at the top left of the home page. That's a good price, and I think you'd really like it.

I would second what JCnewbie said, but if you don't want something a bit bigger than I'd say go with the standard 510 model. It's decent, though battery life sucks compared to the ego/riva, but it has the advantage of easy upgrades. The carts/atties/cartos/etc are all compatible with the ego/riva and a ton of mods, so if you later decide to upgrade you really only need to get the bigger battery.

Good advice IMO because 1, it's a good unit/price and 2, you can use the tank atty/carts with it too, if you wish to try them.
I was think about getting more batteries etc, but at that price it'll be better to just order a kit a and have the extra chargers.
And for the record the ego/riva is not huge, I'm 5'4" and it fits in my hand- no you can't hold it like an analog, but even the 510 is heavier than you think. The battery life is worth it for me. :)

Ego uses the 510 connector. However, you can get an adaptor to go from 510 to just about any type of connection. I have the 510. I had very specific ideas of what I wanted. I just got my hands on an ego. I love the battery life of the ego. However, if you're infront of a computer all day where you can vape away, you can get a passthru and not have to worry about batteries unless you're out and about.

It really depends on what you need right now to quit the analogs. Do you need something that looks like a cigarette? Something that feels like a cigarette? If so, go for the 510. If not, go for the Ego/Riva.

I started with KR808 (including the PCC and pass-through) to keep it as uncomplicated as possible in the beginning.

I also ordered an ego kit at the same time, figuring I'd want to have it on hand when the refilling and recharging started to matter more than how much it looks/feels like a cigarette. I didn't want to get frustrated and then have to wait for the next step. I got the regular 510 atty/carts, and the xl atty/carts. I shifted to the ego after 3 weeks and I liked it.

Then I read about the tank system and got the tank atty/carts (all compatable with my regular ego batteries) and I love it! Now I'm looking at the 1000 mAh tank battery. I like the 5-click shut off feature.

I don't regret any step so far--I don't think I would have felt comfortable with the ego-t in the beginning.

If you buy the eGo or the Riva you can add the tanks and tank atomizer at a later date, it's about $20 for the tank and atty when purchased separately.

+1

Although having the large battery is nice. My eGo battery lasts 8-10 hrs. My new ego-T battery lasts me a day and a half.

Get the ego or Riva, a couple boxes of 2.0 boge cartomizers. Juice elsewhere.

If you decide you like vaping, order the tank and atty.

After looking into it more...I'm leaning towards the ego-t. Only problem which place to buy it from. The link JC provided has it but in steel (kit) and I'd like it in black. Right now I'm looking at the eliquid forum to see what I might like...pref a menthol smoker.

Liberty flights offers 6 months warranty on the Ego battery (not sure about Riva) and 45 days on attys. That's important. Some only guarantee it won't be DOA. I've already had batteries, atty, and a pass-thru die.

I like nhalers nuport. Some like his 555 menthol. If you get it from there, get the nhale/xhale juice, not high voltage.

Thanks for the tip swedish! I looked at nhale and noticed they only have a 24mg...I smoke lights so would that be ok? I was thinking maybe a 16-18mg would suffice.

Plus that's true...buy it now and tank/atty later...it's a little cheaper if I go that route. I'm also going to ask them and see if they have a walk-in store. I plan to go to san diego soon and would like to get more there.

hi synical WELCOME

juice wise it is usually helpful if you order several mg strengths ie: a 12mg,18mg & a 24 mg

this is one of the subjective things about vaping, we are all different ...
I smoked 2PAD but Ulights & 18mg makes my head spin & 12mg makes me wanna vape constantly ... so I try to use 14-16 , but at night time I use lower stuff in hopes of sleeping ...& some folks need 24mg in the am & lower their mg's thru the day ....

So it is best to have several options on hand ...

I got my riva's at liberty flights , they are great (510) compatible with everything 510...
I have used their tank atty & the ego mega cartomizers are one of my fav's & they have a lot of different options for atty/cart combos & cartomizers .... good luck !

I smoke the 24 mg. That's great for me. I have a couple that are 30. But I don't go through a lot of juice like some people so it all evens out I guess.

Thanks again swedish and kelley. Since I hear a lot about freedomsmoke (rep is good from consensus) I'll try them out first. Plus they have a deal going until tonight so I could save some money. I'm also going to get a variation of mg to find out which works for me.

Oh yeah, I'll most likely get the ego kit from liberty....is there anything else other than the boge cart I should get? Do I need a syringe for the liquid? If so what gauge?
